    Death of a Child of Mary.--- o--

    l'otributad. .Last Thursday morning the sadnews was flashed to us that NoelieBi,.nvenu was dead. She had beenin ew )rleans for sometimes un-dergoing medical treatment butthe news of her death was so sud-den that the whole communitywas shocked

    Noelie or Lilly. as her friendscalled her was a daughter of Mr.U'lysse Bienvenu and a member ofthet largest family in this town.She was a home loving girl andafter the death of her mother,which occured quite a number ofyears ago, with the help of an old-er sister, took entire charge of alarge family. She was noted forher sunny disposition and herreadiness to help the needy.

    The body arrive from New Or-leans by way of New Iberia anda large number of friends and re-latives were at the depot to ac-company the body home.

    At eight o'clock Friday morningthe Children of Mary society, ofwhich she had been a member forover fifteen years assembled at theCovenit, and all dressed in whitewith veil and blue ribbon of thesociety, and proceeded to the homeof the deceased. At nine o'clockthe funeral procession slowly wen-ded its way to church, six Child.drew --f Mary acting as pall-bearerand the rest following two by two.Then came the large concourse offriends and relatives. She wasburied at a Solemn High Mass atwhich the whole town was presentto render their last tribute to thedeceased. Father Peeters assistedby Father Beauvain conducted thefuneral services During the cere-mony Fater Peeters rendered amost beautiful and touching eulo-Ly, praising the deceased and in-spiring all those present by his,loilunence and his sincerity.
