"All of our old style marble howerswith tile floor were ripped out. Withthem went the old master mixer, set for120 degrees, which was supposed to sup-ply non-scalding water for all the showerstalls. In their place we now have 14modern shower stalls of grey Carraraglass, each equipped with safety showermixers, individually set to prevent scald-ing. To harmonize with the grey of theshower stalls, the ceiling was painted adistinctive shade of blue and the wallsan old rose. In such a setting, we feltthat white shower curtains would be outof place, so we arranged to obtain someof an old rose tint for the outer compart-ment of the shower stalls. In the shower-room, as well as in the rubbing room,modern terrazzo has replaced the old tileflooring.
