country. REDD+ (Reducing emission from deforestation & forest degradation plus sustainable fores

carbon stock enhancement) is among the strategies identify to bring carbon neutral development in

Oromia government currently, implementing, Judicial REDD+ OFLP as pilot of national program. N

completed its REDD+ readiness phase, started its implementation phase by assigning OFLP Safeg

Woreda coordinators in different woredas & zones of the region. From the very natural REDD+ is m

the participation of different sectors. Among those Sekachokorsa cluster, in which hosting at Sekac

EFCCA, having the woredas’ of Dedo, Manna, Mancho and Shabesombo.

☞ To enhance awareness of Development Agents on integrate landscape management

☞ To familiarize the Development Agents with safeguard tools.

☞ To string then relationship between concerned stakeholders & REDD+ program.

To identify challenge & opportunities in the implementation OFLP at sekachokorsa clu

Training/consultation process/methods

Woreda Coordinator and on each woredas’ Environment, Forest and climate change

Authority, will deliver present on different issues specifically on Integrate Landscape

Management, CRGE, forest and climate change, Environmental and Social safeguards,

Western Oromia region OFLP annual plan and overview of REDD+.

Discussions will be held on each presentation and also group presentation will be expected

From the participants. At the end based on the discussion experiences and different views

Will be documented. The medium of transferring this Training manual was changed

From English to AFAAN OROMOO to moderate for the working environment.

Location Non-hotspot areas of sekackorsa Cluster; Dedo,Manna, Mancho, Shabesombo & Sekachokorsa.
