1.2 Secondary treatment1. Baf e reactors ensure anaerobic degradation of suspended and dissolved solids by

x ng wa wa r w h ac v ludg blank – h ar na urall occurr ng that accumulate in the bottom of each chamber. The baf e reactor is suitable for all kinds

of organic wastewater and its ef ciency increases with more organics in the water (thed r r h b r). th wa wa r r a n d n h un or 1 o 2 da .

2. Anaerobic xed bed lters make use of anaerobic digestion process with xed bedlter—these are stones or other material in chambers. Active bacterial mass grows on thelter material (carrier). These units treat whatever is dissolved in the wastewater by bringing

it in close contact with active bacteria mass. The lter media can be cinder, rock aggregates,lag, or c all d gn d la c a r al c. th un ar d al or wa
