All are welcome: No matter what your present status in the Catholic Church; no matter what your current family or marital
situation; no matter what your past or present situation; no matter what your personal history, age, background, race etc.; no matter what your own self image or self esteem you are invited, welcomed, accepted, loved, and respected at
Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary / St. Frances Cabrini Church Parish.
Prayer Blanket Ministry The prayer blanket is a crocheted lap-ghan. Prayers are said with
every stitch. The colors usually represent the illness. It measures
40’ x 52” with an insert of a cross.
Example: For bone cancer—the cross would be yellow with a
purple background. After the blanket is completed is it folded,
wrapped with a ribbon and accompanied by a prayer card. Then
brought to be blessed by Fr. Mark. The blanket is usually request-
ed by a friend or family member. It is not sold but a donation to
help pay for supplies is appreciated. Once the recipient receives
the blanket “PLEASE” unwrap it and use it.
My name is Ruby Duhon and I make prayer blankets. My phone
number is (337) 652-1337 if you would like to place an order.

Red Bird Ministries:
Loving Through Loss
The death of a child is never easy and grief is experienced differently by eve-ryone. Red Bird Ministries is a Catholic
grief support ministry that focuses on couples who have experienced the loss of a child of any age by lov-ing them through their loss. Core team members of Red Bird Ministries are parents of loss and know all
too well what it is to live through such a horrific expe-rience. Our goal is to help couples living this night-mare to not just survive their loss, but to love them through it by sharing our own experiences and heal-ings, in hopes of helping them to survive and thrive in their marriages and in life. Please contact Kelly Breaux at (337) 223-2019 or at [email protected] for more information. Visit our website at www.redbird.love.
