sor, Karen Ludwig; and Ambassadors Lisa Roden and Maria Saucedo. They are looking forward to spreading the Power of 4-H YOUth!

OCTOBER 2005 5

L auren Alvarado of El Camino 4-H, is 15 years old and feels

that Leadership is her strongest project. Although Lauren has a lot of expectations for herself as an All Star, she emphasizes that “being an All Star is not about being on top, it is about helping other 4-H members to realize their own potential and to reach that potential.”

E ryn Becker of Templeton 4-H, is 17 years old and also

states Leadership as her strongest project. Eryn loves working with young people and expects to “gain more leadership experience and knowledge of 4-H and my community.” She also sees being an All Star as an “excellent oppor-tunity for growth.”

A manda Clark of Santa Mar-garita 4-H, is 16 years old

and Community Service is her strongest project. Amanda expects a lot of great memories in the year ahead and wrote about how 4-H had made such a difference in her life and now she wants to make a differ-ence as an All Star.

R eeanna Martinez of Cerro Alto 4-H, is 16 years old and

Rabbits is her strongest project. Reeanna stated in her application, “I would like to show club mem-bers how important it is to in-clude community outreach as part of their 4-H career as well as showing members the true mean-ing of community outreach.”

E rin Miller of Cerro Alto 4-H, is 14 years old and Leader-

ship and Community Service are

her strongest projects. Erin is looking forward to learning more about 4-H events and how to or-ganize them, and she would like to see more kids become involved in 4-H and learn about life skills.

E rin Wessel of Templeton 4-H. Erin is 16 years old and was

able to narrow down her strong-est project to Sheep and Swine. When asked the question – “what does being an All Star mean to you?” Erin wrote, “4-H has been a part of my life for almost six years, my being an All Star signi-fies my giving back to the pro-gram that gave so much to me and others like me.”
