    The MODIS 1km imagery for11:19am MST on January 22nddepicts the well-developeddust plume.

    Lubbock (KLBB) was reportingone-half mile visibility withblowing dust and a peak windof 50 knots.

    Quiet weather. BUT, strong inversions/poor ventilationresulting in air quality concerns, especially Wed-WedNight.

    Thursday Gusty winds and low humidity across the eastern plains
