About University

The Conception of the Children’s University was rst revealed by the then Honorable

Chief Minister of Gujarat and present Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, while

emphasizing this he explained the urgent need for the growth and development of the future

generation. A Part from this, as He pointed out, the prime focus of this institution would be to avail

the path-breaking researches dealing with the children’s studies. The prime aim is holistic

development of child based on Indian thinking and spirituality which covers whole life span of

human that is conception to adulthood (9 months to 18 years) which make this university very

unique, novel and path breaking from all other conventional universities. This is very proud

feeling matter for the government of Gujarat to work in the area of child development in very

different way.

About Departments

Children are the creator of bright future. Physically healthy, radiant in mind and intellect, full of

inner strength, such children will become the best citizens of the Nation and they will create the Great

Nation of Twenty-First Century. For such holistic development of children Hon'ble Prime Minister

and the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi has established Children's University

which ensures to provide all needed help and care for the integral development of the Child. Tapovan is its rst step towards this new endeavor which would provide Prenatal Care and

Education. Because education must begin at prenatal stage and education must continue right

through the whole life. Thus the expectant mothers have a very unique role to play in this progress

of human evolution.

The Home Science Department is one of the important units of the Children’s University

reecting the vision and mission of the university. The department is an integral part of the school

of nutrition and health. The department has been functioning since 2018 with an aim to nurture the

students and help them transform into competent professionals in the eld of food and nutrition.

The department believes in all-round development of its students by providing them quality

academic, research and eld exposure; and arranges various academic, research and the

extension activities accordingly. Home Science is vast and varied eld. Its scope extends far

beyond the ‘home’ and is not limited to cooking, laundry, needlework, and home decoration. In

fact, it is the only subject which prepares young learners for the two most important goals in their

lives - looking after their home and family and preparing for a career or vocation in life. The

department is currently offering M.Sc. (Foods and Nutrition), PG Diploma in Dietetics, and Ph.D.

(Home Science) courses. All these courses are designed in such a way that they align with all the

requirements of the government and private sectors institutions working in the areas of food -

nutrition and health.

About Seminar

The seminar will discuss relevant topics under the broad theme of nutrition and health in

pregnancy .Sub-theme of the seminar includes nutritional food during pregnancy, issues during

pregnancy, Suvarnaprashana and immunity, importance of mother and child nutrition, effect of

fast-food on physical and mental health of mother and child, effect of different music, effect of

different clothes, effect of different ornaments, Factual information will be obtained. In which the

effects of pregnancy will be known very well. This seminar will bring together experts from various

elds for a common cause at platform where delegates will be enlightened by the experts about

the area of growing concern and their possible solutions. It is also an opportunity to alert people

working in the concerned area about its relevance and importance. This seminar will also create

awareness about the importance of basic scientic research in different elds matching with the

given theme. Thus this seminar will be helpful to the society through scientic information about

pregnancy.
