Nurses and Midwives regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Career Pathways
Health Services Assistance Cert III (Acute Care)
Can be studied in year 11 & 12 at school or at TAFE NSW
Employment in a Clinical Setting
Assistant in Nursing
Enrolled Nursing Cert IV or Diploma Studied at TAFE
NSW, NSW Health RTO and the Advanced Diploma of
Nursing at the University of New England
(Cert IV courses to cease from July 2014)

level at Registered Training Organisations
Between 18 months to 2 years study

The award wages as at 1 July 2011: AIN 1st year - $19.17ph / $38.028Kpa (plus shift penalties)
EN 1st year - $24.05ph / $47.691Kpa (plus shift penalties)
RN/M 1st year - $26.68ph / $52.909Kpa (plus shift penalties)
Nurse/Midwife Manager – $93Kpa – $150Kpa
