PULMONARY CONTUSION Major nursing diagnoses may include the
following:
Ineffective airway clearance related to tracheobronchial obstruction secondary to hemorrhage and localized edema
Impaired gas exchange related to altered oxygen supply
Acute Pain related to trauma
PENETRATING TRAUMA (GUNSHOT/STAB WOUNDS)
Major nursing diagnoses may include the following:
Ineffective airway clearance related to tracheobronchial obstruction
Impaired gas exchange related to altered oxygen supply
Acute Pain related to trauma
Deficient fluid volume related to active fluid loss due to bleeding
Risk for infection related to inadequate primary defenses
Risk for ineffective tissue perfusion: peripheral, renal, GI, cardiopulmonary, or central related to hypovolemia, decreased arterial flow & cerebral edema
PNEUMOTHORAX/ HEMOTHORAX
