Assessment Matrix

What material changes does this require?

How can changes to design grow out of the developmental currents already at work?

What qualities does this imply?

What values and spirit should things convey?

What is its individual spirit?[What is its essence; its inspiration, its ‘esprit de place’; genius loci?]

Time continuum?[What is ebbing and flowing and changing?]

How do people feel about it?[What appeals; how do we respond?]

What is its physical context? [What is its bedrock; its material substance; its physicality?]
