µDAC5Step 3: After the ASIOProxyInstall.exe installation is completed, find and double-click the file foo_input_sacd.fb2k-component to install.Go to foobar2000 -> file -> Preferences -> Components to confirm the installation. You should see both ASIO Support and Super Audio CD Decoder listed as shown below.
Step 4: In File -> Preferences -> Playback -> Output, set Device to ASIO: foo_dsd_asio.

µDAC5Step 5: In File -> Preferences -> Playback -> Output -> ASIO, double-click foo_dsd_asio to open the ASIO preference panel.
Step 6: Set ASIO Driver to NuForce ASIO DriverSet DSD Playback Method to ASIO NativeSet PCM to DSD Method to NoneSet Fs to DSD256 Click Close button on upper right to close window This is what it will all look like when it’s set up right:

Now just load up some DSD files and play away.

For Mac systems, we recommend using Audirvana Plus for DSD playback.
Step 1: Audirvana Plus -> Preferences menu.
Step 2: Click on the Audio System tab.
Step 3: Choose Nuforce μDAC5 on Preferred Audio Device.
Step 4: Choose DSD over PCM 1.0 on Native DSD Capability.
Step 5: Check Exclusive Access Mode, Direct Mode, and Integer Mode on Low Level Playback Options.
