Welcome to our2019-2020
SEMINAR SERIES The Colorado Prosthodontic Society board of directors and I would like to sincerely welcome you to our 100th year of providing high quality continuing education. It is my honor to be the president for our centennial year and look forward to putting on a valuable speaker series for everyone. Our program of six seminars will provide a variety of topics with a focus on up to date trends and techniques in modern dentistry. Our first speaker, Dr. Lou Graham, will provide us with the newest diagnostic techniques and restorative tips he uses in his office. In October we will have our Centennial breakfast at 8am to celebrate our 100th year continuing to be the oldest dental study club in the United States. Our speaker will be David Harris, who will provide us with tips on how to determine if embezzlement is occurring, how to prevent it and best hiring practices. Due to the sensitive nature of this topic, we ask that only doctors and their spouses be present at this lecture. Spouses can register at a special price for this one seminar. In November Dr. Bruce Crispin will provide us with an overview of CAD CAM technology and 3D printing which he utilizes in his office and training center. February 2020 our seminar series continues with Dr. John Nosti on how he manages and treats the worn dentition. Dr. Nosti will go over how he sets up these cases all the way to delivery of the final restorations. In March Dr. Jose Luis Ruiz will present on supragingival dentistry covering preparation techniques, temporization and material choice. We will end our speaker series with Dr. Justin Moody providing an overview of how he plans and executes the surgical and restorative phases for the terminal dentition. I have found all of these speakers and topics to be influential in my practice and I hope they will be for you as well. Technology and modern minimally invasive techniques are the cornerstone of my practice philosophy and have kept dentistry fun while providing me new tools for the challenges dentistry brings. The Colorado Prosthodontic Society is committed to science and practice based continuing education without the corporate influence. It is my desire for every dentist who attends our seminar series that they will pick up some pearls to bring back to their practices so they can provide the highest level of care for their patients. I look forward to a great year of education!

Seminar One September 20, 2010
Dr. David Alleman
1 Protecting The Pulp By Detailed Caries Detection, Removal And Treatment: How to properly use caries detecting dyes to distinguish between infected and affected dentin. How in interpret DIAGONOdent readings to guide you to the strongest bondable end-point. Using the ICDAS II international system to know when to restore and/or rematerialize a lesion. How to lower and/or inactivate MMP activity in order to keep your full bond strength. How to and why you should avoid direct pulp exposures.
2 Biomimetic Analysis Of The Structural Compromise Or Integrity Of The Tooth: The 1-2-3-4 system of predicting when a tooth is at risk of fracture. How to decide when it is best to do: a direct, semi-direct or indirect restoration. How to find and remove cracks into dentin. When to leave cracks in enamel and dentin.
3 Immediate Dentin Sealing And Resin Coating To Mimic The DEJ How to double your bond strength. Which 5 of the 90+ Dentinal Bonding Systems are the best. How to create “Super Dentin” Bonds that are acid and base resistant. How to Mimic the DEJ. How to create a “fail-safe” restoration.
4 C-Factor Stress Reduction In Mimicking The Dentin Which low shrinkage composites are the best. Which layering technique is best. Which slow-start light cure protocol is best. How to “Decouple” dentin from enamel bonds. Why Ribbond decreases stress and secures the dentin bond.
5 Bonding To And Replacing Enamel When to bevel enamel. When not to bevel enamel. When to onlay a cusp. When not to onlay a cusp.
6 Mimicking The Occlusal Envelope Of Function Gary Unterbrink’s “3-paper” adjustment technique John Kois’ diagnosis of para-functional vs. dysfunctional occlusions Mike Alpern’s biomimetic articulator “The POLY” to treat TMD
~ Biographical sketch ~
The dictionary defines ‘rich’ as “Having or producing a particular thing in large amounts.” That is Dr. Chris Brady’s passion.
As the nationally recognized ‘Rich Dentist Coach & Case Acceptance Expert’, Chris loves helping dentists have or produce large amounts of whatever it is they want—in dentistry and in life. Dr. Chris has developed one of the most effective case acceptance systems that will have patients asking for treatment. No pressure. Not pushy. Just happier patients accepting bigger cases, resulting in fewer days at the office and a happier, better-compensated team.
Dr. Chris teaches more Case Acceptance seminars than any other dentist on the planet. This year, in 2010, he will provide over 75 days of personal seminar coaching for hundreds of his Brady Group members and prospective dental clients across the country. Dr. Brady’s teaching approach is motivating and entertaining. You’ll find yourself laughing and even feeling a bit embarrassed at some of the crazy things we naively do and say to patients.
Dr. Chris is also an author, practice transitions expert, and motivational speaker. He has spoken to groups (AADPA featured speaker. Keynote speaker at the AACD.) all across the United States. His numerous articles can be found in various publications such as Dental Economics, Mentor and Contemporary Dental Aesthetics. He was also an Editorial Board member at Dentist’s Money Digest. Most of all, Dr. Brady is a genuine, generous person eager to share his message with those of his profession with the desire of creating happiness.
Dr. Chris Brady is a Colorado native who currently resides in Colorado Springs. Chris is a graduate from Brigham Young University with a BS degree in Zoology. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1984 from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He opened his practice that same year in Colorado Springs and developed a practice with emphasis on major restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Chris is the president and founder of Brady Group LLC. His coaching program has quickly gained popularity with progressive dentists. He and his team teach them how to realize the practice they always envisioned. High profit. Low stress. More vacation time. Highly trained team. Excellent communication and case presentation skills. Low overhead. Dentists and their teams experience unique opportunities for growth that eliminate the “burned out” feeling so common in dentistry today. Call the Brady Group to get you on the road to becoming a rich and happy dentist.

The Colorado Prosthodontic Society Board of Directors and I would like to welcome you to the 2010-2011 seminar series. Our continuing education program of six seminars includes speakers of the highest caliber from truly diverse professional, academic, and cultural backgrounds.
Our first speaker on September 20th is Dr. David Alleman. Dr. Alleman will present his “Six Lessons of Biomimetic Dentistry,” a new approach to restoring teeth. His approach is something most haven’t seen before. I am also excited to welcome Dr. Norton from England and his presentation on the “BioManagment Complex (BMC)” and its effect on clinical outcomes. We have heard a lot about the downfalls of mini-implants, but Dr. Shatkin in November will present how he has placed thousands with excellent success and present his approach to this controversial discipline. Dr. Sascha Jovanovic needs no introduction and will speak to us about several Implant related topics. He is a highly sought after speaker and I am proud to have him. We have a special treat with Dr. David Clark and his 3D lecture (yes including the glasses) about the “End of the GV Black Era,” and how composites could perhaps be better placed, and an intensive discussion on the devastating crack propagation in teeth. Our seminar series will be completed by Dr. Chris Brady in April and his presentation on Case Acceptance and the things we dentists due to ruin this important “Golden 10 Minutes.” Several of the above mentioned speakers have rounded and changed the way I practice and I am excited to share their knowledge with you.
The Colorado Prosthodontic Society is the longest continuously organized study club in the nation. We are entering our 91st year and I am proud to serve as your President and program chair for the 2010-2011 season. I hope the topics this year provide you with new and enlightening ideas as our profession and materials continue to change. Continuing education is the vehicle in which we advance our profession and I commend you all for continued involvement.
