About the ProgramNSW Goalball introduces a program to implement into PDHPE curriculum through thePhysical Activity and Sports Studies (PASS) program in High Schools. Students willhave the opportunity to play the unique, Paralympic sport while promoting awarenessand understanding of sport in the disability spectrum, primarily for low vision andblindness. The NSW Goalball's PASS Program aims to educate students on the lived experienceof disability through understanding guide dog and white cane protocols. Goalball is anunique Paralympic sport that is played under blindfold, within this program students willalso experience orientation and mobility activities to build awareness around disability. NSW Goalball has the largest participated Paralympic sport school program for Goalballin the world, growing from a school competition involving only 6 schools in its first year,now being showcased to 200 schools and 7,200 students across NSW.
