NRCC 2012 Business Expo, Successful Year for Vendors

www.northlandchamber.com 5 April 2012

The 2012 Business Expo was a successful year for our many vendors and guests who joined us on March 21st! Thanks to our luncheon sponsor, UMB, which included nearly 300 guests. Our featured speaker was Mayor Sly James and a video showing the 20 years of NRCC’s success. Exhibitors and hundreds of attendees found the true value of the Expo is not in the quantity of contacts that you make, but the quality of those contacts. With more than 75 vendors, it only takes one or two quality contacts to create new

business.

Congratulations to Gann Asphalt, Best of Show

Hilton Kansas City Airport, Most Original

John Q. Hammons Properties, Best Themed

Thanks again to our corporate sponsor, Saint Luke’s North Hospital, for their continued support. A huge thanks also goes to all of our exhibitors, sponsors and attendees. Another GREAT year! Congratulations to all of our winners and participants!

It’s a great time to be a Kansas Citian! • Development of Goggle’s ultra-high speed Internet is underway after the two Kansas Cities were selected from more than 1,100 other cities to host this cutting edge experiment. • The Wall Street Journal named Kansas City one of seven up-and- coming high-tech innovation centers. • Frommer’s chose Kansas City as one of its top 10 destinations for 2012. We were the ONLY U.S. city to make the list. •The Bloch School at UMKC has just been named the best entrepreneurship program in the country. • Forbes ranked Kansas City’s downtown as one of the top 10 in the nation. • Coast-to-coast and around the globe, people are singing the praises of our Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
