A new federal law of the Russian Federation (it come into force in September 2013) describes network forms of educational programs, using resources of both home and foreign universities, scientific institutions, laboratories and industry, business structures.   The conception of NSTU network University covers all the directions and forms of cooperation with partner Universities and Industry. Those are JEP, DDP, regular summer/ winter schools, research projects and practical training courses, professional development programs, taking into account regional resources of the network partners, international demand etc. Goal: 1. Creation of educational and scientific research networking structure (networking technical university) for joint undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate education in priority directions. 2. Development, introduction of joint educational programs of different levels within networking technical university. 3. Opening of NSTU’s information centers in CIS and other countries. IFOST (1996): new materials, nanotechnologies, applied engineering sciences , information and communication technologies, mechatronics and automation, power engineering. North-East Asian Academic Forum (2004): economics. University of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (2008): region study, ecology, power engineering, IT-technology, nanotechnology, economics, pedagogy, psichology.

We have got many stereotypes. One of them is that a cat and a dog cannot be friends. In Russia we say about a family where the wife and the husband often argue, that they live a cat-and-dog life. But looking at this picture we see just the opposite. It means that it’s possible. So, let’s be friends, let’s cooperate, live and work in harmony. I wish the participants of the seminar a successful work and good mood.
