Gas Leak DetectionGas Leak Detection is the process of identifying potentially hazardous gas leaks by means of various sensors. These sensors usually employ an audible alarm to alert people when a dangerous gas has been detected. Common sensors used today include Infrared Point Sensor, Ultrasonic gas detectors, Electrochemical gas detectors, and Semiconductor Sensors. 

Point Detectors

Novius Services use a variety of measurement, protection and communication technologies to offer a flexible range of Point Gas Detectors able to measure flammable, toxic and oxygen gases, report their presence and activate alarms or associated equipment. Novius Services Point Gas Detectors are, however also chosen in many other applications where reliability, dependability and lack of false alarms are valued.

Open Path Detectors

Open Path Detectors are widely used in the petroleum and petrochemical industries, mostly to achieve very rapid gas leak detection for flammable gases at concentrations comparable to the lower flammable limit (typically a few percent by volume).

Fire Alarm Systems-Addressable

Addressable fire alarm systems have traditionally been associated with the larger, more complicated applications. However, with downward price trends, they have become feasible for smaller systems that would have historically been designed with conventional fire alarm equipment.

Flame Detection(IR3 And UV/IR)

The Flame UV/IR flame detector uses an ultra high signal to noise ratio UV sensor and a separate IR sensor to offer superior flame detection. The UV sensor offers superior sensitivity while the IR sensor ensures resistance to false alarms. The Flame Triple IR (IR3) flame detector compares three specific wave length bands within the IR spectral range of a fire.

Emergency Voice Evacuation System

A voice alarm system (sometimes referred to as a voice evacuation system) is installed with the safety of staff and general public in mind. It is a system that assists in the effective evacuation of an area or building during a fire, bomb alert or other emergency. At all other times a voice alarm system is used to make public address announcements, broadcast advertisements or background music.

Aspirating Fire Detector

A detector that utilizes a fan or aspirator to actively draw air from the environmentBack to an ultra high sensitivity fire sensor through a pipe network to detect fire“Before Smoke” in the earliest stage of a fire, as opposed to standard sensitivity spotDetectors that passively wait for large amounts of smoke to rise to the sensor.

Linear Heat Sensing Cable

At the core of LHS is a pair of extremely low resistance conductors, sheathed in advanced polymers. These cables are engineered to react at specific fixed temperaturesallowing the conductors to make contact and initiate an alarm at the alarm panel. Distance locating is also available on some models to identify and display the exact location, (in feetor meters) where the heat source or fire is anywhere along the entire length of the cable.

Ember DetectorInfra Red Ember Detector is an ultra sensitive optical sensor designed to detect the radiant energy emitted by burning or glowing embers being transmitted on conveyer belts. The detector is designed to detect a 1 sq. inch ember at a distance of 3 feet traveling at up to 20 fps.The Infra Red Ember Detector is sensitive only to the radiation emitted by the formation of CO2 produced by a smoldering ember and is insensitive to ambient light - even solar.

Portable Gas Detector

Portable Gas Detector large LCD display shows all gas readings, battery level, current time, and will automatically backlight in alarm conditions. Models vary by size and complexity depending on the number and type of gas sensors used, display and certification but it is Novius Services philosophy that each should be properly suited to its task.
