Celebrations Harvest Stitching Retreat is offering 3 separate class packages along with a few individual classes. Classes are open to all who wish to attend including locals looking to commute each day.
Admission to shopping boutique and stitchers’ lounge is NOT included with “a la carte” classes. Guests not purchasing classes or purchasing solely from the a la carte menu that wish to shop in boutique and
enjoy our stitchers’ lounge must pay the admission fee of $12 per day. Please refer to pricing and packages page for class pricing and package inclusions
Nantucket Bobbin Basket: Teacher Janice Card This is a great way to try your hand at Nantucket Basket making. This old art comes to
Celebration for the beginner by weaving your basket using a glass votive as a mold instead of a wooden mold.
Learn the basics of weaving in class, that is easily finished if not in class at home. This adorable little basket can
be useful to hold thread spools, or to put your orts in or anything small. Looks like the perfect little item for a
pin cushion. A 3 hour class available Saturday or Sunday
Giorgia Historical Plymouth Pincushion Doll: Teacher Guilia Manfredini This pincushion is Guilia’s tribute to Historical Plymouth. The porcelain half doll from
Brier Rose is 3.75" tall, with a detailed lace collar and a wonderful tricorne hat. Mounted on a sturdy padded
base, the doll has the front part of the skirt stitched with beautiful floral motifs in three different shades of colors.
A lovely striped silk fabric has been used for the back of the skirt and the overskirt. The kit includes the original
hand made and hand painted Giorgia half doll, and all stitching and finishing materials.
Special hand made pins will also be available for this doll (not included in the kit). A 2 day class, Friday/Saturday
Button Box: Teacher Jackie du Plessis
Tiny bouquets of flowers adorn the sides of your 2” high Button Box.
Stitched on 32 ct linen with silk fibers. Complete kit will include all supplies to stitch and assemble the linen
cut into a three dimensional storage box for your favorite buttons. A Friday class, 5 hours with lunch break
Mary Putnam Upton Sampler Teacher Pam Reed Stitched by Mary Putnam Upton in 1819 at the age of 9. Born in Reading, Massachusetts in 1810, died at the
young age of 90 in Canton, Massachusetts. Her stitching skills were taught at a Londonderry school under the
instruction of Hannah Dodge. This sampler has been reproduced on 32 Ct. linen using Gentle Art threads in
shades of Green, Blue, Gold, Black and Cream. Stitched over 2, Queen Stitch on the diagonal, with Eyelets
and surface embroidery while creating a preface piece finished off as a Pyn Cushion Pocket.
A 3 hour class on Friday
Sophia Amelia Colonial Williamsburg Pincushion Doll: Teacher Guilia Manfredini Guilia’s tribute to Colonial Williamsburg. The unique porcelain half doll from Brier Rose, has an auburn wig
and wired arms for easy costuming and posing. Mounted on a sturdy padded base, the doll has skirt and
stomacher stitched with colorful floral motifs. A hanging pocket stitched with matching floral motifs. Also
attached to the waist of the doll there is a small chatelaine with a little pincushion, a needlebook, and one pair
of miniature scissors. Sophia Amelia features a lovely wearable hat. A 2 day class, Saturday/Sunday
Pilgrim Penny Pocket Class: Teacher Barbara Jackson The seventeenth century saw the creation of printed needlework designs giving Pilgrim women the ability to
create their own pretty pockets to hold sewing necessities or pennies for the baker. Worked on 18 count linen
using richly colored silk threads, the motifs are found on many samplers of that era. Tucked into this pocket
is a specially made wood thread holder with the Plimoth 1620 logo. And don’t forget the petite needle case!
Your pennies will have good company. Round robin will the the scissors fob that goes with the purse.

Round Robin: Teacher Guilia Manfredini, Jackie du Plessis, Barbara Jackson, Pam Reed One of out most popular classes at out Nashua show, now offered at our Plymouth retreat! This classes offers
a small project from 4 of our teachers. Each teacher rotates into the classes, explains their kit, specialty stitches
and offers finishing helpful hint. This class is a great way for newbies to meet the teachers, and a fun event for
Day Trippers. This is a Friday evening class from 7pm-8pm
