week). The prophet declares Come, let us climb the LORD'S mountain, the house of the God of Jacob, that he may instruct us in his ways, and wmay walk in his paths. For the Jews a pilgrimage to the holy city Jerusalem, set high on Mount Zion, was always a moment of grace; andthe reading is echoed in the Psalm: I rejoiced because they said to me, Wwill go up to the house of the LORD.
