2015 Lenten Season, we

are preparing a

McMannen United

Methodist Church Daily

Devotional. While Lent is

often a time of self-denial

or “giving-up” something

(like a favorite treat –

chocolate) as a symbolic act of suffering, in 2015 we

ask you to share with the congregation your thoughts

or reflections as a gift in a devotional.

There may be a particular passage of scripture that is

special to you . . . or a painting or sketch that leads

you to reflect on God’s love . . . or a particular or

song that has special meaning for you . . . or a God

Sighting you have experienced . . . anything you want

to reflect on during the Lenten Season.

Jim Wheeler has agreed to be the Coordinator to

prepare the Daily Devotional booklet, one page for

each day, which will contain the submitted

devotionals.

Please prepare a daily devotional – preferably one

typed page – and place it in the “Shadow of the

Cross” box in the Church Office or submit your

devotional by email to the Church Office (Anggie).

We need your daily devotional by Monday,

December 1, 2014. It will take time to

consolidate, coordinate and get the Daily Devotional

printed in time for the Lenten Season.

Thank you for your participation in developing this

Devotional.

McMannen has a history of honoring

the work of our paid staff by

collecting donations for a holiday

bonus for each staff person. If you

are interested in participating, give

your gift to any SPRC member or me

by December 14.
