NATIONAL LAW DAY

• November 26 marks the anniversary of the drafting of the constitution by the constituent assembly in 1949. The President of the constituent assembly, Dr. Rajendra Prasad had signed it and declared it as passed.

• In 1947, the first budget of free India was presented by R. K Shanmukhan Chetty to the Legislative Assembly.

• It aims to spread awareness about obesity and its ill effects on one’s health.

• Its creation is a initiative to address the global pandemic.

• It includes organizing health camps, counseling sessions, talks with health experts etc.

• November 26 will now celebrated as the National Milk Day in India in memory of Dr. VerghsesKuerin, Father of India’s White Revolution.

• In 1960, subscriber trunk dialing (STD) was first introduced in India between Kanpur and Lucknow.
