President’s Report

November 7th is the SGCCC Big

Day. Our 37th Annual Fall Classic Car Show will be held at the Five

Points Shopping Center lot. Joe and his team, Mike and Tiffany, have done a great job in

planning and getting us ready for the show. It all starts on Friday night before the event. We

sweep and clean the lot so everything will be

safe and presentable. On Saturday morning we show up at 7:30 AM to get the coffee go-

ing, start the music, get our parking atten-dants in position and just generally get ready.

All of this is a lot of fun for everyone who participates.

I am generally of the opinion that each member decides if they want to do all events

or do no events. The SGCCC appreciates you either way or somewhere in between. How-

ever, I am asking all members to please come

to the show, invite others to come to the show, find cars that would like to be in the

show or at least display. We need cars at the venue!!! Of course all member cars are eligi-

ble to participate since we have outside judg-ing. You do not all need to be there on Friday

night. You do not all need to be there at 7:30

on Saturday morning. But I am asking all members to come and bring your cars to the

show. You will be rewarded with fun, music, prizes, and possibly trophies. What more

could you want.

Hope to see everyone on November 7th, the

first Saturday in November at the Five Points. Donna will pour you a free cup of coffee, Bob

will twist your arm about the 50/50, Fred and Hardy will be looking for members, Logan

will be looking for club officers, Walt will have

his golf cart, Ed and Annette will bring the Cruiser, and maybe we will see the Fowlers

and the Bennetts. Thanks.

Until next time.

Dan

November 2020—We begin the month with Na-

tional Election Day and end it with Thanksgiving Day.

What a great month, and a nice change in the

weather.

We had another great monthly meeting in October-

and the November one should be just as lively, as we

make final preparations for the Fall Classic Car & Truck

Show scheduled for the first Saturday of November.

We will also be presented with a slate of officers for

2021.

You can see from the photos in this issue that there

were a lot of club related activities during October

and some interesting car shows just a few miles north

and south of Valdosta. Thanks to Joe, Richard, Dan

Chris, and Hardy for all the pictures.

During this season of the year, let us remember the

things for which we can truly be thankful. Of tese, we

can all be thankful for life, health, and the freedom we

enjoy that allows us to pursue those things that make

us happy. As we approach the Christmas season, we

are thankful for the Greatest Gift of All—God’s Gift

of His Son to be the Savior of the world.

As always, we welcome submissions from club

members to include in the Driver’s Seat. Simply sub-

mit be email to [email protected].

Let’s have a great rest of the

year.

Happy Cruising!
