My keyboard is loving the colour upgrade but Mrs Fernyhough is shaking her head at the state of my desk and chair. Congratulations EVPS on yet another magnificent community event! Our Colour Run was huge success and was enjoyed by all involved. Thank you to all of our parents, grandparents, family and friends, who came along to support our students and our school. Special thanks to our P&C for organising this event and to the NSW Fire Service for making sure we were all sufficiently damp (or drenched) ensuring the colour stuck to our clothes. We are blessed to have such a brilliant community at Elermore Vale and I must make mention of our fun-loving staff, who always make sure that our students are able to take part in these events. This was definitely another day where our school was shining. I am delighted to announce to our community that Mr Tony Mandl, our General Assistant, has been successful in being appointed to our school as a Permanent GA. He will begin his permanency on Monday, 19 th November. Tony has been working under a temporary contract for the past two years and this term he was successful in his application for the permanent position. Congratulations Mr Mandl, we are thrilled that you will be able to continue ‘Living The Dream’ at EVPS on a permanent basis. Congratulations to Mr Wlodarczyk, who is the Vice President of Crossroad PSSA, on the success of his touch football carnival that was held yesterday. Congratulations also to our Stage 3 students, who participated in the carnival. Next week our Year 6 students will be heading off to Glendale Technology High School for their Sports Gala Day. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to familiarise themselves with the high school and get to know some of the teachers they may have next year. I hope that everyone has a terrific weekend. I am certain that it will take a lot of soap and water to get us all clean tonight. Have a great week! Term 4 Week 5 16th November 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

As I write this newsletter, I am sitting in my office covered from

head to toe in pink, yellow, green, orange, red, blue and

purple, and I could not be more happy about it. My keyboard

is loving the colour upgrade but Mrs Fernyhough is shaking her

head at the state of my desk and chair. Congratulations EVPS

on yet another magnificent community event! Our Colour

Run was huge success and was enjoyed by all involved.

Thank you to all of our parents, grandparents, family and

friends, who came along to support our students and our

school. Special thanks to our P&C for organising this event

and to the NSW Fire Service for making sure we were all

sufficiently damp (or drenched) ensuring the colour stuck to

our clothes. We are blessed to have such a brilliant

community at Elermore Vale and I must make mention of our

fun-loving staff, who always make sure that our students are

able to take part in these events. This was definitely another

day where our school was shining.

I am delighted to announce to our community that Mr Tony

Mandl, our General Assistant, has been successful in being

appointed to our school as a Permanent GA. He will begin his

permanency on Monday, 19th November. Tony has been

working under a temporary contract for the past two years

and this term he was successful in his application for the

permanent position. Congratulations Mr Mandl, we are thrilled

that you will be able to continue ‘Living The Dream’ at EVPS

on a permanent basis.

Congratulations to Mr Wlodarczyk, who is the Vice President

of Crossroad PSSA, on the success of his touch football

carnival that was held yesterday. Congratulations also to our

Stage 3 students, who participated in the carnival.

Technology High School for their Sports Gala Day. This is a

wonderful opportunity for our students to familiarise

themselves with the high school and get to know some of the

Have a great week!

State Debating Championships

Congratulations to Ruby who attended the State Debating Competition last week, representing the Hunter / Central

Coast region. Ruby and her team travelled to Collaroy Centre and competed against other teams from around New

South Wales.

Her team performed very well, just missing out on a spot in the semi-finals leaving New England to take the win. Ruby

reported that "it was a great educational experience and would definitely attend again if possible." Well done!
