Fun Run Schedule 5
Wow, where has this year gone!!! So much to do, and little
time to do it!!! WE have the holidays coming upon us
quickly. I certainly do hope everyone has the happiest holiday
season, from Thanksgiving to Christmas to the New Year.
January will be here before you know it, and it will be time
for our first Winter Angel Expo at the WSCC Expo Center.
The car show committee has been very hard at work to get
this going and may I say they have done a wonderful job.
From sponsors, to activities, things are
coming together very well. Our Corporate sponsors, All
American Auto, Collision & Transmission and Porter’s Tire
Store, our advertising sponsor, Citizen Tribune, our Major
sponsors, Gutters & More, Morristown Tire & Performance
Center, MD Pharmacy, Cumberland Glass Co. and Andrews
Construction, we could not do this kind of production without
them. My sincere and most gracious thanks to all of you.
The model car show is coming together as well, can’t wait to
see that. State Representative, Tillman Goins and Miss Teen
Tennessee, Olivia Fleemon will be there as well. Can’t wait
to see the display from
Petty’s Garage
(Randleman, North
Carolina), and of course,
all the amazing cars, trucks, motorcycles and
whatever else may show up!! Certainly will
have more information next month. Love to
all of you!!!!!

President’s Letter—November 2014 by Don McGinnis
November 1st and winter has arrived, it’s 33` outside, setting at my desk ready to
write this letter. The car club had plans for a picnic at our house this afternoon; but
the cold & rain caused us to postpone it until next Saturday weatherman said it will
be warmer. Well our Cruising season is over, I want to thank all who helped and
attended each week. Over all we had a good year. October 18th was a bit on the cold
side; however we had a good turnout. That was our night to raise money for our
Angle Tree Program (Toys for Tots). Even with the cold and rain we were able to
raise over a $1,000 toward buying toys for the kids. The last night, October 24th was
perfect, temperature was in the 70’s, we had a large turnout, with several new rides
I had not seen before. We were delighted to have Miss Teenage Tennessee Olivia
Fleemon joining our last cruise-in and has plans on returning for other activities.
Thanks to Theresa, we enjoyed a great fun-run Sunday afternoon. We left Ingles at
1:30 drove across Cherokee Lake & over Clinch Mtn.to Tazewell, where we had
lunch at the Old Town Grill. The food was good, the service was excellent. After
we had our fill we traveled north, through the tunnel and up the mountain to the
pinnacle, overlooking TN, VA and KY. The weather was perfect; the leaves were
in full color. It was a great site to see 10 or 12 antique cars parading through the
mountains.
Although our cruising season is over, we still have several events coming up before
the first of the year. Dec. 5th we meet at Shoney’s for our annual Toys for Tots
Christmas shopping spree. Dec. 4th our club will participate in the Morristown
Christmas Parade (theme covered wagons to airplanes) we will have a covered wag-
on in the parade & ask for several members to ride in the wagon. If you will be
driving a vehicle, make sure to fill out the proper forms. (See Butch) Our club will
be participating in several area Christmas parades this fall, I encourage everyone to
join us as we celebrate this Christmas season. Last but not least our annual Club
Christmas party, held on Friday Dec. 12th at Centenary Methodist Church. Don’t
miss out on an Excellent dinner and a Great time.
Monthly meeting Nov.20th Eat at 6:00 /// Meet at 7:00 ---See you there, Don

Greetings HCCC!
November is here, cruz n season has gone and the holiday season is coming! Time flies, as the
say.
To all that have helped to make the cruz n season a success and fun; a big thanks and apprecia-
tion.
The next big event for HCCC will be the Lakeway Christmas parades. First up, will be in
Morristown on December 4th; anyone wanting to drive their vehicle or ride on the float, please
contact me or Don. We will have a tailgate party prior to the start of the parade as we are
staged together like we were last year. HCCC will also be participating in the Jefferson City
parade on December 13th, New Market’s on December 14th and Dandridge’s on December
20th. We can throw candy out and cruz down and back together. Come join the fun!!
Planning meetings are currently under way for our Winter Angel Expo. Please volunteer for
the different committees we have to help prepare and at the show. This could be one of our
largest fundraisers ever and probably the most fun. We do need your help! Be at the Novem-
ber 20th meeting for updates.
Angel tree shopping nite is December 5th with us meeting for breakfast at Shoney’s. Buffet
opens at 10pm with HCCC planning to be at Wal Mart at midnight. Don’t miss this blessing!
The Jr. Club will take part with taking on 10 kids; dreams! Please show them appreciation in
getting involved in our charities.
Better contact Theresa if you war wanting to attend our December 13th Christmas party, never
a dull moment! Great fellowship! There was a tradition dealing with silly hats, I think,
HINT!!
Remember all of our sick and disabled friends and members. Hope everyone has a happy
Thanksgiving and remember this is a time to give thanks and to remember the ones we have
lost.
My Thanksgiving thanks and love to you, HCCC!
