Because he hath set his love uponme, therefore will I deliver him: I willset him on high, because he hath knownmy name.

He shall call upon me, and I willanswer him: I will be with him in trou-ble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

— Psalm 91:14,15

I n Psalm 91:14 and 15, there arefive things El Shaddai — theGod who is more than enough —said He will do for the person

who sets his or her love upon Him.God said, “Because he hath set his

love upon me, therefore WILL I . . .”:1. Deliver him.2. Set him on high.3. Answer him.4. Be with him and deliver him.5. Honor him.

We need to understand the impor-tance of the simple phrase “I will” or “Ishall.”

A very learned man once addresseda group of us young ministers. Thisman had an excellent working knowl-edge of many languages. In fact, whenone of the young ministers asked himhow many languages he was fluent in,he replied, “Thirty-two.”

This scholar was a translator for theU.S. government during World War I.He was recognized as the leadingHebrew and Greek scholar of his day.

When he visited us, he told us,“There are some things in the Greek —and this would be true in some cases inthe Hebrew — for which we have noidiom in the English language.

“For instance,” he said, “in John14:13, where Jesus said, ‘. . . whatsoeverye shall ask in my name, that will I do . . .’neth E. Hagin

ething you want Godu? According to His

are several thingso do for you — goodat we all desire.’s the catch?on is that you mustlove upon Him.

T h e W o r d o f F a i t h 5

f i v e t h i n g s g o d w a n t s t o d o f o r y o u

the King James Version says, in effect, ‘Iwill.’” In other words, Jesus said, “I willdo it.”

This scholar went on to explain,“Now, the translators felt they ought touse either ‘I will’ or ‘I shall,’ because thatis the strongest assertion you can makein the English language. You can’t sayanything stronger than ‘I will do it,’ or ‘Ishall do it.’ The translators thought theyshould make it the strongest assertionthat can be made in English.”

The scholar read the verse to us inthe original Greek (it was all Greek tome!). Then he said, “Now I’m going totranslate that literally for you.”

This is what that verse literally says:“If you will ask anything in My Name, ifI don’t have it, I’ll make it for you”!

“I’ll make it for you”! And, thank God,He can. Because He is El Shaddai — theGod who is more than enough!

I was reminded of this incidentbecause in Psalm 91:14 and 15, God saysHe “will do” the following five things.

1.“I will deliver him.”Thank God, the God

Who is more thanenough is a deliveringGod!

God told Abrahamthat his descendants

would be sojourners in a foreign landfor four hundred years, but Hepromised, “I will bring them outwith a strong hand.”

God doesn’t forget His promises:Four hundred and thirty years afterIsrael’s captivity began in Egypt, Godraised up Moses and Aaron to leadIsrael out of bondage — and He broughtthem out with a strong hand. He is stillthe same delivering God today! He ismore than enough!

According to Acts 10:38, “. . . Godanointed Jesus of Nazareth with theHoly Ghost and with power: who wentabout doing good, and healing ALL thatwere oppressed of the devil; for God waswith him.”

Satan is the oppressor. Jesus is thedeliverer.

2. “I will set him onhigh, because he hasknown my name.”

This point will bestudied with the fifthpoint.

3. “He shall call uponme, and I will answerhim.”

God has always beena prayer-answeringGod. Throughout the

Bible, God said, “I will answer.”Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call unto me,

and I will answer thee, and shew theegreat and mighty things, which thouknowest not.”

In Isaiah 43:25 God said, “I, even I,am he that blotteth out thy transgres-sions for mine own sake, and will notremember thy sins.” Then He added,“Put me in remembrance . . .” (v. 26).

Remind God of His promises!Remind Him of His Word! He is faithfulto cause it to come to pass in your life.

The New Testament also proves thatGod hears and answers prayer.

MATTHEW 7:7,87 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall beopened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth;and he that seeketh findeth; and to himthat knocketh it shall be opened.

MARK 11:2424 Therefore I say unto you, What thingssoever ye desire, when ye pray, believethat ye receive them, and ye shall havethem.

JOHN 16:2323 And in that day ye shall ask me noth-ing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatso-ever ye shall ask the Father in my name,he will give it you.

God will hear and answer yourprayers! God doesn’t want you to worryor be anxious about a thing. If you’reworried or anxious, you shouldn’t be.Philippians 4:6 says, “Be careful fornothing; but in every thing by prayerand supplication with thanksgiving letyour requests be made known unto God.”God says, “Be careful for nothing.” A

better translation is, “Do not fret orhave any anxiety about anything.”

Why shouldn’t you fret nor haveanxiety? Because God is the One whois more than enough! He is the All-Sufficient One, the One who neverchanges, the One who never fails. He isjust as able today as He ever was. He isthe same yesterday, today, and forever(Heb. 3:8). And He’s interested in you! He’s concerned about you! That’s whyHe said, “Because he hath set his love

upon me, therefore . . . I will answerhim.” He didn’t say, “If it’s My will, Iwill answer him.” He said, “Because hehas set his love upon Me, I will answerhim.”

When your love is set upon God, youconform your will to be in line with HisWord. A man or woman walking in truefellowship with God will never ask any-thing outside the will of God. And theWord of God is the will of God.

4. “I will be with himin trouble; I willdeliver him.”

God didn’t say youweren’t going to havetrouble just because

you’ve been born again and filled withthe Spirit. In fact, He rather infers thatyou are going to have trouble becauseyou’re a Christian.

The world is going to persecute you. They’re going to talk about you. They’regoing to speak evil of you. And the devil, who is the god of this world, will putpressure on you at every turn.

No, God didn’t say we would neverhave any troubles. But He did say, “Iwill be with him in trouble.”

Psalm 34:19 says, “Many are theafflictions of the righteous: but the Lorddelivereth him out of them all.” Does theLord deliver us out of half of the afflic-tions, or troubles? No, He delivers usout of all of them!

5. “I will honor him.”Whom will God

honor?

PSALM 24:3,43 Who shall ascend intothe hill of the Lord? or

who shall stand in his holy place?4 He that hath clean hands, and a pureheart; who hath not lifted up his soulunto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

You can’t cleanse your own hands, and you can’t purify your own heart. But you can be cleansed by His bloodand stand in the holy place, because Hehas cleansed you and robed you in Hisrighteousness.

God said, “I will honor him” (Ps.91:15). This statement is similar inmeaning to “I will set him on high,”which is the second thing God wants todo for us according to Psalm 91:14.These are two things God said Hewould do for the person who has set hislove upon Him.

I would rather have God’s honorthan have the greatest honor this worldcan bestow. The world honors politi-cians, statesmen, generals, educators,

superstars, athletes, and inventors. Butif they ever honor a preacher, theyhonor some humanistic preacher whodoesn’t believe in the Virgin Birth orthe authenticity of the Word of God.

The world as a whole will never honora real Bible-believing, tongue-talking,divine healing-practicingpreacher of theGospel anymore than theworld honoredJesus. No, youmust compro-mise if youwant to receivethe honor of this world. But I wouldrather have God’s honor. The world’shonor will pass and fade away, but thehonor God bestows will last forever.

Are there circumstances in your lifefrom which you need to be delivered? Are you in a difficult situation andthere seems to be no way out? Godpromises you deliverance!

Have you been crying out to Godabout problems in your life? Do youhave prayers that need to be answered?

Thank God, He will answer you whenyou call upon Him!

No matter what you are goingthrough right now, no matter what thedoctor’s report or news forecast, Godwill be with you in trouble. Not only willHe be with you in trouble, He will also

deliver you!When you set

your love uponGod and knowHis Name, Hewill honor youand set you onhigh. I don’t knowabout you, but Iwant to be set on

high — where the devil and circum-stances and problems of this world can’ttouch me!

If your love is set upon God, begin tothank Him today for these fivepromises that He’s given you in HisWord. Thank Him and praise Him fordelivering you, for setting you on high, for answering you when you call, forbeing with you in trouble and deliveringyou, and for honoring you. Thank Godfor all He is doing in your life!

Jesus was standing there, and I stood inHis Presence. He was holding a crownin His hands. This crown was soextraordinarily beautiful that humanlanguage cannot begin to describe it.Jesus told me, “This is a soulwinner’scrown.”

Henceforth there is laid up

for me a crown of righteous-

ness, which the Lord, the

righteous judge, shall give

me at that day: and not to me

“If you can’t say Amen, say Oh Me.”

“They kept telling me stories ofGod’s protection,” said Karen. “Godtold one man to take a different routehome and because of his obedience,he missed the earthquake. The part-ners were so thrilled to receive a calland hear that Kenneth Hagin Min-istries was thinking about them andpraying for them.”

Since then Karen has workedbehind the scenes at RHEMA’s WordPartner Club for 14 years, faithfullydialing phone numbers and speakingwith Word Partners all over the UnitedStates. The highlight of her job hasbeen talking with and ministering tothe partners. “They love this ministry, and they love Brother Hagin. They justcan’t say enough about him,” saidKaren.

As she eagerly shared inspiringpartner testimonies, Karen includedone of her own. Simply stated, sheneeded a job and God told her to give$5 a month when the Word PartnerClub started. Thirty days later she washired at Kenneth Hagin Ministries!Karen says other Word Partners havealso testified about receiving jobs, finances, healing, and other supernat-ural help since becoming partners withKenneth Hagin Ministries.

Karen recalled two instances ofpeople being supernaturally led toKenneth Hagin Ministries. One woman

from a denomina-tional background

called saying shehad been increas-ingly hungry for thethings of God, andwhile in prayer she“saw” Brother Haginpreaching. The HolySpirit said to her,“This is the man Iwant you to get yourteaching from”! After discussing theincident with someone at her churchwho knew about Brother Hagin, shecalled and ordered all of the ministry’sbooks and tapes she could get!

Another man had been saved andfilled with the Holy Ghost but wasn’tbeing fed spiritually at his church. In avision he had while praying he saw atape recorder and heard a taped mes-sage of Brother Hagin preaching! At theend of the tape, the announcer in thevision said, “For further information, callKenneth Hagin Ministries . . .” and pro-ceeded to give the address and phonenumber. The Holy Spirit said to theman, “This is the ministry I want you toget your teaching from.” This supernat-ural event inspired him to order booksand tapes too.

Karen also recounted a story of a girlwho was seriously injured in a car acci-dent. The doctors didn’t expect her tolive. But her parents kept speaking theWord over her as they had learned fromreading Brother Hagin’s books. Throughfaith in God and the power of the Word, their daughter was completely healed! The doctors had also said that the girlcould never have children. “But later, Ireceived a picture of her little baby girlin the mail,” said Karen, smiling.

“Something stands out about Ken-neth Hagin Ministries Word Partners,”Karen stated. “Even with myself, when Istarted giving, I liked it — it was a joy todo it. And I’ve noticed it’s that way withmany of Brother Hagin’s partners. When

we call them to thank them, they say,‘Oh, it’s my pleasure. I love it!’ God cer-tainly blesses them with a joy abouttheir giving.”

“The Word Partners are sowingseed into a wonderful ministry. I’vewatched the ministry,” said Karen, “andI have seen that the Hagins care abouttheir partners. What an honor it is torepresent Kenneth Hagin Ministries bytalking to the partners and hearing on adaily basis what this ministry means topeople.”

If you have been spiritually fed bythis ministry or have attended RHEMABible Training Center, but aren’t a WordPartner, Karen encourages you to openyour heart and begin faithfully sowingback into this ministry. It is scripturalfor those who have been blessedthrough a ministry to help support thatministry (Gal. 6:6).

Faith Seminar of the Air37 Years of Radio Ministry

Modern-day Christian seminars are like minefields strategi-cally placed to explode in power. Power to minister to believersand nonbelievers alike — to bring a message of the good newsof the Gospel.

Kenneth E. Hagin’s Faith Seminar of the Air is no exception. For more than 36 years, this 15-minute radio broadcast hasbeen strategically placed to deliver the power of the Gospel.

It all began in 1963 when the Lord spoke to Kenneth E.Hagin about starting a radio ministry with an emphasis onteaching rather than preaching. “At that time,” Brother Haginrecalled, “teaching wasn’t prevalent in Charismatic or FullGospel ministries. Folks wanted to hear preaching more thanteaching. But the Lord said, ‘Do it,’ so I did it.” On November 14,1966, Brother Hagin’s first broadcast aired on radio stationKSKY in Dallas.

The hallmark of Brother Hagin’s ministry is andalways has been faith — the key to receiving fromGod. And over the years, Faith Seminar of the Air hashelped bring Christians in every corner of the worldto a new dimension of faith and power through theuncomplicated teaching of practical faith.

More than 100 radio stations beam Faith Semi-nar of the Air to listeners across the United States.

And now Faith Seminar of the Air has extended another arm ofministry. It delivers a powerful “word in season” around theworld via the Internet . . . 24 hours a day . . . legally circumvent-ing the illegality of airwave broadcasts of the Gospel in somecountries! For instance, Internet records show connections toFaith Seminar of the Air even from China!

And there’s more good news! Early next year, the broadcastwill feature excerpts from Kenneth E. Hagin’s best teaching atRHEMA’s healing school. This unprecedented teaching collec-tion will air for the first time on Faith Seminar of the Air, neverhaving been offered in recorded form before. So make a notenow to tune in and build up your faith for healing!

You can check the schedule on this page for oneof your favorite radio stations or go to

As an eagle stirreth up her nest, luttereth over her young, spreadethbroad her wings, taketh them, eareth them on her wings: So theord alone did lead him [Israel] . . . .

— Deuteronomy 32:11,12

A fter baby eagles hatch out oftheir eggs, they have it easyfor a while. They sit in their

oft, downy nest, and everythinghat they need in life is brought tohem. But one day, things change.

There comes a day when the mothereagle stirs up the nest!

On that day, the mama eaglegets down in the nest and begins toflutter and flap her wings, makingthose little baby eagles get up andwalk around. Then she may starttaking away all the soft leaves anddowny feathers so the eaglets can’tget comfortable — when her youngones try to lie down, the sticks prickthem. You see, it’s time for thebabes to grow up!

You may be at the same place inyour spiritual walk. God has pro-vided for you and helped you along. But you’ve heard enough Word now,and it’s time for you to grow up spir-itually. It’s time for you to startbelieving God’s Word on your own.

Sometimes people reach a placein their walk with the Lord wherethey wonder why things are not ascomfortable as they used to be.Well, it may be that they need togrow up! It may be that God is stir-ring them just as the mama eaglestirs up her nest and flutters overher young.

That’s what the Lord may bedoing with you. He’s fluttering overyou. He’s taking away all the downyfeathers — all the things in your life

that make it easy to stay spirituallycomplacent. He’s trying to help youmove out of your comfort zone andlearn how to believe Him for yourself(and not just for yourself, but also forothers!).

Now after a few days of stirring upher baby eaglets and making themwalk around in the prickly nest, themother gets in the nest behind themand flaps her wings until one of theeaglets finally climbs up on the rim ofthe nest.

But the mother eagle doesn’t stopthere. With the fluttering of herwings, she deliberately crowds himonto the rim and right off the edge. And there goes the tiny little eagle,free-falling!

You may be thinking, Brother, that’s me! I feel like I’ve just beenpushed over the edge of my comfort-able life, and I’m free-falling. So whatam I supposed to do now?

You have to do what you’ve seenother Christians do — use your “faithwings” and start believing God!

That poor little eagle. The onlything he knows to do is what he’s seenmama and papa do with those massivewings of theirs every time they cameflying down to the nest. So the eagletstarts flapping his little wings — but

Tired of being com-placent in your

Christian walk? Feellike there is so much

more waiting for you?Want to know how to

chieve your potential? It’s time to strengthenyour wings, get out ofthe nest, and learn tosoar with the eagles!

it’s not helping a whole lot. Then justbefore he hits the ground, the mamaor papa eagle swoops right under-neath him and gently bears the littleeagle on great wings back to the nest.

I love that. You may be on theledge, so to speak, looking down on asituation that seems impossible. Youmay be in midair, trying out yourwings of faith for the very first time.It may look as though you’re about tohit rock bottom and then it’ll all beover. But, friend, I want to tell youthat the Heavenly Father will not letyou fall (Exod. 19:4)!

I want us to read Deuteronomy32:11 from the New InternationalVersion.

DEUTERONOMY 32:11 (NIV)11 Like an eagle that stirs up its nestand hovers over its young, that spreadsits wings to catch them and carriesthem on its PINIONS.

I looked up that word “pinion” inthe dictionary, and it means a bird’swing. Actually, it’s the post-lateralsection of a bird’s wing. That’s wherethe little bird lands: on the pinion ofhis parent’s wing.

The very next day, the eagles gothrough the same thing all overagain. But this time the eaglet ismuch stronger and he flies a little bit

longer before he has to be borne up onhis parent’s wings.

Then after about three days of thisexercise, it suddenly happens: The lit-tle eagle begins to soar majesticallyon the wind with outspread wings. He’s flying!

The same thing happens when youfirst jump out of the security of yourspiritual nest and begin to believeGod. It’s not too much fun at first. Butonce you really learn to fly — learnhow to trust God in every situation oflife — you wouldn’t have it any otherway!

After a while, your faith wingsbecome strengthened because you’vebeen constantly exercising them. Then you have no problem at allwhen you come up against a chasm oftests or trials — because you are usedto relying on God’s Word. So you jumpright out in the middle of that greatgulf, knowing that God’s Word isgoing to hold you up and bear yousafely to the other side.

Some time around the fifth day,the mama eagle doesn’t even have tonudge her young ones out of the nestanymore. Instead, they get up and flyoff together!

If you’re ever going to soar withthe eagles, you must be willing totrust God and to leave the security of

the nest. And if you’re ever going toreceive the things you believe God hasspoken to your heart and see themcome to pass, you must be willing totry your spiritual wings. (You maynot even know that you have them, but they are there!)

That little eagle’s wings werethere all the time — he just didn’tknow what to do with them! But themother knew exactly when it wastime for her young one to spread hisown wings and learn to fly.

In the same way, you must learnto trust God because He knows whenit’s time for you to start spreadingyour spiritual wings and learn how tolive by faith in His Word.

It’s all part of growing up spiritu-ally. You can’t always remain in thenest of safety. Sooner or later, youmust learn how to step out in faith. You must leave the nest and learn tofly!

Sometimes people come to a placein their Christian life where it seemslike they just don’t know where to goor what to do. It’s as if they’restymied in their spiritual growth. AndI believe one reason is that theyhaven’t developed their faith.

Once you really learn to fly, youwouldn’t have it anyother way!

T h e W o r d o f F a i t h 27

I t ’ s t i m e t o f l y !

So you see, you’re going to have tomake a move. You’re going to have tostep out of your nest of spiritualdependence and complacency andlearn to trust God. Don’t be afraid to

try your wings of faith. You have thepotential to soar on those wings, andone day you will — but not unless youmake a move and take that first step!

God will never limit you to keepyou from receiving all He has for you.

The truth is, you are the one who limitsGod in your life!

Let me ask you a question. Howbig can you dream for God — howmuch can you believe Him for? Your

answer tothat questionwill deter-mine yourspiritual alti-tude, or howhigh you willsoar in lifewith Christ.

The limitis yours, not

God’s. Study God’s Word and you willsee that God doesn’t put any limits onyou.

He says, “. . . If ye have faith . . .nothing shall be impossible unto you”(Matt. 17:20). He says, “. . . What

things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and yeshall have them” (Mark 11:24)! Inother words, God says, “You can havewhatever you believe Me for accordingto My Word.”

It’s up to you how high you willsoar in life. So take off the limits andset your sights high in God. Learn alesson from the eagles: Build yourspiritual house on the right founda-tion — on the Word — and build itstrong so it will stand the test. Thendon’t be afraid to step out in faith andtry your spiritual wings.

Learn to believe God and take Himat His Word. Soon, you will find your-self flying over the chasm of impossi-bilities with nothing underneath youbut God’s Word. And you will findyourself soaring to greater heightsthan you ever thought you couldattain!

Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin recalls howiet he was as a boy and how thatanged after he was born again, aled, and baptized in the Holy Ghost.ditor’s note: This article was preparedfore Rev. Hagin’s homegoing onptember 19, 2003.]

* * * * * * * * * * * *I remember how it shocked my

andma when I announced, just as ay, “I’m going to be a preacher.”Grandma said, “Why, son, you can’t

each — you can’t talk!”It was true. Because my heart didn’t

at right and I would pass out if I triedexert myself, I had learned in myunger years to sit around and keep myuth shut. In fact, the year before I

came bedfast, Grandpa Drake saide night at the supper table, “I sawur teacher, Miss Bessie Mae Hamil-, today, and I asked, ‘How is Kenneth

ing?’“ ‘Oh,’ she said, ‘Mr. Drake, he’s just

e he always was. If you waited on himsay anything, he’d never say any-ing. In fact, he could miss the classd nobody would ever know it.’”That put an idea in my mind! I

cided to try that out. I had only twosses in the afternoon — Miss Bessie

ae’s and another — so two or threees a week I’d play hooky and go to

e movie. You know, they never did miss me.ey never counted me absent. That’sw quiet I was in class. Of course, afterot saved, I quit doing that. When Int back to high school after my heal-

g, I never missed a day.

After I was saved and healed, I beganto preach as a young Baptist boy. I knewI was called to preach, and the anointingto preach would come upon me. I didn’thave any anointing to teach, and I didn’tlike teaching.

I’d pray, study, and prepare sermonoutlines — and I’ve got nearly all ofthem still. I don’t preach some of themanymore, but they represent all the lightI had then. (God will bless you becauseyou’re walking in all the light you have.)

The first time I preached, I preached45 minutes. Some beginners go 10 or 15minutes. I went 45. And I’ve been goingever since!

For a number of years I was apreacher — and, oh, I could preach! Iwas a preaching machine! I like thatanointing! When it came upon me, I’dpreach so hard and fast, the congrega-tion would say, “Slow down! Slow down!We can’t get half of what you say, you goso fast.”

I didn’t have the baptism in the HolySpirit then, but I had the Holy Spirit inme, and an anointing would come on mebecause I was called to that office. (Inthe Old Testament, too, the anointingcame on people to stand in certainoffices.) I could relate some phenomenalthings that happened when the anoint-ing to preach came upon me as a youngBaptist boy preacher.

One Sunday night I was preachingan evangelistic-type sermon from James4:14, where James asks, “For what isyour life? It is even a vapour, thatappeareth for a little time, and then van-isheth away.” I’d been preaching about15 minutes, anointed by the Holy Spirit,

when the power of God came into thatchurch auditorium and filled it like acloud.

I could not see a single member — Iwas in the cloud. I could hear the soundof my voice, but I didn’t know one wordof what I said. For 17 minutes — Ilooked at my watch — I couldn’t distin-guish a word.

Finally I could see people on the firstthree rows of seats. Then the anointingbegan to go away. It was just like a cloudlifted from the whole group. I didn’t sayanything about it; I closed the servicenormally.

Several days later I asked a veryspiritual old gentleman who had beenthere, “Was anything different about theservice Sunday night?”

“Well, why?” he replied.“Well, you tell me if there was, and

then I’ll tell you why.”He said, “Well, the only thing was

that people have been talking about itall over the community. It seemed likeyour face shone. It didn’t look like you —it just looked like the face of an angel.”

Then I told him about it. I told him Ihadn’t known one word I said for thelast 17 minutes of the service, theanointing was upon me so. That’s all awork of the Holy Spirit: the anointingand the glory cloud.

After being baptized in the HolySpirit, I entered into a greater dimen-sion of the power of God, and thatanointing to preach increased. There is ascriptural basis for this: Elisha desired adouble portion of Elijah’s anointing. Eli-jah was anointed by the Holy Spirit tostand in the office of prophet, and Elishahad a double portion of that anointing —a greater anointing, in other words, tostand in the same office.

To be continued . . .

Anointed to Preach

“Why is my baby so blue?”Krista asked the doctor. He had no answer. Mark 5:36came to Bill’s mind, “Be not afraid — only believe.” Bill andKrista Anzevino began to speak only two words, but theywere words full of absolute assurance: “We believe!” Theseparents knew, with a certainty based upon Jesus’ words, that their newborn son would live!

The hurried effort to clear little Andrew’s air passagesfor more oxygen to reach his lungs began in the deliveryroom — but to no avail. Eventually, Andrew, within hisfirst few hours in this world, was life-flighted from Beaver,Pennsylvania, to a children’s hospital in Pittsburgh. Doc-tors there discovered Andrew was born with a conditionknown as 22Q11 (a genetic abnormality in which a portionof the 22nd chromosome is lost). He was subsequently diag-nosed with Di George Syndrome. Associated with this syn-drome are multiple irregularities (potentially up to 185 ofthem), often present at birth.

“Andrew was so bad off,” Bill said, “the doctors wantedhis last rites to be read to him before he left for the chil-dren’s hospital.” As tests were done, more complicationsemerged. His chances of survival were slim to none. ButBill and Krista remained solid, resisting the emotions thatrose up as they watched their precious son go through the

discomfort of his condition and the necessary medical proce-dures. They told the doctors, “Do whatever you need to do”and “we still believe.”

Before he was one day old, Andrew’s known complica-tions included tetralogy of Fallot (a heart condition) and apartial thymus gland, resulting inan almost non-existent immune sys-tem, much like that of a person withAIDS. He had no left pulmonaryartery! He could not suck, swallow,or breathe at the same time; there-fore, he could not eat and had afeeding tube in his stomach. On topof all that, at 16 hours old, Andrewhad his first open-heart surgery.

From the first minute ofAndrew’s life, in the midst of a mosttreacherous storm, Bill and Kristaspoke God’s unfailing Word to eachsituation as it arose! God faithfully

met them withHis healingpower every time!

On and off inhis first year oflife, Andrewspent 4 months inthe hospital.“When he con-tracted chickenpox and it spread to his lungs, we spoke the Word overHim,” said Bill. “We looked at the X-rays again and therewas nothing in his lungs. He was fine. At first, Andrew hadno left pulmonary artery. The next echo-sonogram showedit was as big as a thread. Then later it was 2.5 centimeters, and by the time Andrew was 9 months old, it had grown tonormal size. We spoke the Word to that artery and over hisheart condition. Then at 10 months, the doctors testedAndrew’s once terribly weak immune system and discov-ered it was completely normal!”

Andrew was born June 25, 2001, and is just over twoyears old now. He takes no medication. He runs and playslike other toddlers. He goes back to the doctor once a yearjust for a checkup. Andrew’s is a remarkable story of tri-umph over a myriad of health complications followed bybleak prognoses. His medical history is documented by hisdoctors, who are amazed! His dad calls it a “completemiraculous overhaul!”

“The doctors wanted his last rites tobe read to him . . .”

Thankful for his training, BillAnzevino is a 1979 graduate ofRHEMA Bible Training Centerand currently pastors ChristianAssembly Church in Beaver, Penn-sylvania. He and Krista believewithout a doubt that the principlesof faith they were taught by Ken-neth Hagin Ministries helped themwin the battle for their son’s life.
