Presenta on of the Virgin Mary The Feast of the Presenta on of the Blessed Virgin Mary, celebrated annually on November 21st, com-memorates the presenta on of the Blessed Virgin as a child by her parents in the Temple in Jerusalem. Before Mary's birth, her parents received a heavenly message that they would bear a child. In thanksgiving for the God's gi of Mary's birth, they brought her to the Tem-ple to consecrate their only daughter to The Lord. The celebra on of the Feast is first documented in the 11th century within the Byzan ne Catholic Church. It was in-troduced into the Roman Catholic Church in the 15th century by Pope Gregory XI, then removed from the cal-endar by Pope Pius V in the mid 16th century. Pope Sixtus V later reestablished the feast in 1585, and it is s ll celebrated today, commemora ng the faith of her parents, Joachim and Anne, and the purity of Mary.

Presentación de la Virgen María La Fiesta de la Presentación de la Santísima Virgen María, que se celebra anualmente el 21 de noviembre, conmemora la presentación de la Santísima Virgen cuando era niña por sus padres en el Templo de Jeru-salén. Antes del nacimiento de María, sus padres recibieron un mensaje celestial de que iban a tener un hijo. Confessions during Advent Due to COVID-19 we will not be celebrating communal Penance Services as in the past.
