Ahoy Mateys! It is Bookaneer Book Fairtime! So grab your “aarrgg’s” and donyour eye patches and come aboard to sailthe seven seas with some wonderful books!

The book fair sets sail November 14. It endsthe morning of the 18th. Students had flyersthat went home regarding the Fair alongwith class times and special event days.

But just in case, the Book Fair will be openMonday thru Thursday from 8am-3pm. OnThursday, November 17th we are having aKids Invite Someone Special Day. If youare planning to join us for our cafeteria’swonderful special Thanksgiving lunch, Iwelcome you to come and shop at theBook Fair before or after your lunch.

On Thursday, we will be open during theOpen House from 5:30-7pm. Come pick upsome books,sweet treatsand have anice visit withthe teachers!

We will havesome populartitles includingthe new Diaryof a Wimpy Kid,Magic TreeHouse, the newDav Pilkey book Dog Man, Pete the Cat,and many more! There will also be aholiday table, a special price table andbook sets.

Please remember to include SALES TAXwhen sending money in with the students.

The Book Fair is a fun and exciting time andthe students are looking forward to it. Anddon’t be afraid, we won’t make you walkthe plank, and just follow the path towhere X marks the spot for some wonderfultreasures awaiting you at our Book Fair!

Happy Friday! I hope you and your family had a great week! It was a busy, fun week here at school.The character word for the month of November is perseverance, which means to keep trying. Thefirst and second grade students came to my class this week. The first grade students learned aboutpersevering when making mistakes, and the second grade students learned about having positiveattitudes. Next week, the kindergarten, third, and fourth grade students will come to my class. We willfocus on goal setting and what it means to persevere. Fourth graders, Drew Carlson, CloeCrawford, Xavier Crowder, HallieMcCandless, Violet Mitchell, Michelle Reyes,Sha’Niya Rhodes, Teayan Thomas, RomanUnderwood, and Kailey Waters prepared avideo lesson entitled, “What is VeteransDay?” sharing a brief history of this holiday.Their presentation was shown duringannouncements. Patriotic music was playedin the foyer throughout the day.

Early Dismissal: On Friday, November 18th, school willdismiss at 12:30pm. You can sign your child up for FranklinMAC. The deadline to do that is Tuesday, November 15.

Thanksgiving Break: MAC will be open November 21-23.MAC will be closed November 24-25. Thanksgiving formsare here. The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, November 15.If you have to make any changes to your form, thedeadline is Thursday, November 17.
