The school got the honour to participate in the National Children

Science Congress organized by the National Science &

Telecommunication council, Govt. of India and Department of

Education, Govt. of Haryana at Mohali from 27th to 31st Dec 15 for

being among the top 16 teams out of 64 at Haryana State Level

Science Exhibition held at Sonepat on 28th Nov’ 15.

Ms. Mimansa, class VIII bagged a Gold Medal in the category

“100 mtr. Race” and Ms. Akanksha, class VIII bagged a Silver

Medal in “Badminton Singles” organized on the occasion of Inter

DPS National Multi Sports Meet (Girls) Open-2015 at DPS

Greater Noida. The meet was organized by DPS Society from

27th – 29th Nov 15 in which 32 teams from Delhi and NCR

participated.

The school project titled “Maths for Quality Life” was chosen

among the best three projects at the Regional Level CBSE

Science Exhibition held at Panchkula from 17th to 19th Dec 15.

For being among the best three projects, it qualified for the

National Level CBSE Science Exhibition.

The school bagged 2nd position of level II (Class VI to VIII)

and 3rd position of Level III (Class IX to XII) in Road Safety Quiz

competition organized by Haryana Police at S. D. Vidya Mandir,

Panipat on 9th Dec 15.

Ms. Mimansa, a student of class VIII, bagged a Bronze Medal

(U-17 category) in 61st National School Fencing championship organized by the School Games Federation of India at Bhopal (MP) from 25th to 30th Dec 15. Earlier, she had bagged a gold medal in the State School Fencing Championship organized at Fatehabad (Haryana) from 29th to 31st Aug 15 and had qualified for the National School Fencing Championship.

Annual Athletic Meet - 2015

The Annual Athletic Meet was organized on 11th

Dec. 2015 for

classes III - XII. The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. S. K. Bose,

General Manager (HR), Panipat Refinery. The function started with a

smart march past presented by the athletes of different houses. The

march past was followed by torch relay and oath taking ceremony. A

very colorful cultural program was presented by the students of classes

III - V on the occasion followed by the prize distribution ceremony.

After the ceremonial function, the much awaited sports competitions

started in which the athletes of Aravalli, Nilgiri, Shivalik and

Vindhyachal Houses competed with one another to win medals.

Christmas carols, dances in high spirits. Children also made various Christmas crafts like goody bags,

Santa cards and Santa masks etc.

Class XII Farewell Party

The students of class XI bid farewell to the students of class XII by organizing a farewell party on

5th February 2016. It was an occasion for the outgoing students to look back at the time that they spent

in the school. The party was celebrated with lot of enthusiasm and joy.

French Teacher Workshop :

Ms. Balwinder Kaur, French Teacher attended a workshop organized by Langer,

a unit of Saraswati Publishing House on 21st Nov 15 at Shreejee International

School, Sonipat.

Workshop for English Teachers :

06 English teachers attended an ELT seminar organized by Orient Black Swan at

Karnal on 21st Nov 15.

ASL Workshop:

Ms. Vidhu Soin, TGT-English attended an ASL workshop organized by CBSE on

26th & 27th Nov 15 at MASD Public School, Panipat. It was comprised of different

facets of listening and speaking assessment and a discussion on the problems

faced by different schools. A session on phonetics was also conducted to improve

the spoken English of students.

Workshop on Engaging Students – Creating Learners :

02 Teachers (Ms. Mitali Anand & Ms. Poonam Ghangas) attended a workshop on the

theme “Engaging Students – Creating Learners”. The workshop was held at the HRD

Centre, DPS Dwarka from 21st to 23rd Dec 15.

02 students from class VIII & IX attended a web rangers workshop organized by

Google Group of Foundation on 23rd Dec 15 at DAV Thermal, Panipat.

Workshop on Co-Scholastic Area :

Mr. Ranu Tiwari, TGT- Hindi attended a workshop on the theme ”CCE Co-Scholastic

area”. The workshop was held at Wood Stock Public School, Jind on 7th & 8th Jan’16.

Hindi Workshop :

01 teacher (Ms. Rekha Gupta) attended a workshop on the topic “Hindi Language

Workshop”. The workshop was held at the HRD Centre, DPS Dwarka from 8th to 10th

Feb’16.

Science Workshop :

02 Teachers (Ms. Meena Kumari Sharma & Ms. Sobha Vinod) attended a workshop on

the theme “Exploring with Science”. The workshop was held at the HRD Centre, DPS
