CRIMSON VIEW ELEMENTARY Using a STEM Classroom Grant, Mrs. Melody Theime was able to purchase a set of 12 Spheros for her 3rd-grade students. Using this technology, she was able to teach students about gravity, force, and moon on a 3rd-grade curriculum unit. These devices were also showcased at their STEM family night in March where students from any grade level and their family could come and use them through the homemade obstacle courses they created using water noodles. The students loved learning about this new technology and the computer programming required to operate the devices. Mrs. Theime stated, “my students now have a deeper sense of creave problem- solving thanks to this project, and these are the tools that will help them be highly successful in the future”.
