recent arm surgery and my former Judo Sensei, Yasutoshi “Moon”

Watanabe is recovering from a recent bout with bilateral pneumonia.

Grandmaster Douglas Wong announces the latest project of his White

Lotus Martial Arts Association called “Shanghai Dragons”, a joint U.S.

that he has been conducting for the Tularosa New Mexico Elementary

School Complex for the last 4 years called “The Crocodile Eddie

Attendance Improvement Incentive Program” where he combines fun

activities with stranger - danger awareness and safety. According to GM

DeLuca, he has over 75% of the schools kids involved with a 100%

attendance rate!

Grandmaster Santiago Sanchis held his 15th annual Spanish Hall of

Fame in Valencia on October 31st – November 1st. The event also

encompassed a world police convention & tour of some of Spain’s

beautiful sites after the function.

……Grandmaster Chris Spruiell received his Hanshi designation at the

Isshinryu “Circle of Masters” event held November 7th in South

Carolina. Making the presentation was Long-Shimabuku Isshinryu

inheritor, Grandmaster Phil Little.

On November 14th, Chinese Goju Grandmaster Ron “The Black

Dragon” Van Clief entered his first Brazilian Ju-Jitsu competition as a

Blue Belt (Advanced) under the Ronn Shiraki Brazilian Ju-Jitsu

Academy in Hawaii and at age 72 came up with a 2nd Place

win…CONGRATULATIONS, Dragon!!......From California, Master

Mark Dacascos became the latest character added to the popular TV

Show “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” which airs on ABC.

Master Dacascos comes fresh off the heels of appearing as the evil

villain, Wu Fat on another popular TV series, HAWAII FIVE-0 and

will play the recurring part of Giyera, Head of Security for S.H.I.E.L.D.

IN BOOK NEWS…..

Soke Tero Laaksonen of Finland has two new books out. One is entitled

“Oksi” which means “bear” in the Finnish language & which is written

in the Finnish language. The book covers several kata by Soke

Laaksonen including a Northern Bear Marathon Kata, several

meditation forms, “Tigata” or kata using only the hands and 5 walking

stick or cane katas. The book is available through the website

called “FIGHT AND LIFE”. The book gives various viewpoints

Well, this concludes this special 2 month edition of our newsletter. It has

been a “real ride” since the time of our first inception in 1992 in

Jacksonville, Florida with our first formational meeting taking place in

Ohio in May of 1993. Since that time we have gone through many highs

together as well as lows designed to test our metal. From the original

questioning of detractors in the beginning as to the World Head of

Family Sokeship Council’s ship worthiness; to the unending stream of

wannabe grandmaster organizations who have formed over the years

proclaiming that we’d be out of business in a years’ time or less because

of their resources and contacts; only to vanish like a puff of smoke in

the wind afterwards…..WE ARE LIKE THE ROCK OF GIBRALTOR,

BUILT ON INTEGRITY. We are America’s first international

Founders/ Inheritors grandmasters/ masters organization. Only the best

of the best are accepted in the World Head of Family Sokeship Council

and we are still standing tall and will continue to stand tall . Next year,

we will be celebrating our 24th Anniversary. CONGRATULATIONS,

my friends!...Have a safe, happy & Blessed 2016!!
