Greetings to the Class of 1946,
Greetings from Winthrop! You all hold your Winthrop days close in your hearts and believe it or not, it’s time for your 75-year class reunion.
Please mark your calendar for Nov. 12-13, 2021 for your 75-year class reunion celebration! Please keep this mailing for reference because there are a lot of events for you to participate in.
The weekend will begin with a Class Reunion Welcome Reception at the President’s House Friday, Nov. 12 from 5-7 p.m. You will have the opportunity to meet Interim President Hynd and his wife, Dr. Alison Hynd. Reunion check-in will open on Friday, Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. at the President’s House.
On Saturday, Nov. 13 you will celebrate at the Alumni Reunion Brunch from 10 a.m. – noon in McBryde Hall. The class photo will be taken following the brunch. If you have any dietary restrictions, please call the Alumni Association at 803/323-2145. Reunion check-in will open on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. in McBryde Hall.
The Classes of 1945, 1950, 1951, 1955, 1956, 1960 and 1961 will join you for the celebration for their 60th, 65th, 70th and 75th class reunions. It will be so grand to celebrate with these alumnae!
Please register for the weekend via the registration form found in this brochure, and mail in your registration fee of $30 by Nov. 1. Included for this price are campus tours, class photo, reunion souvenir, memorabilia display, the Class Reunion Welcome Reception and the Alumni Reunion Brunch. Bring a guest for the weekend for $20. Space is limited to 200 alumni and guests due to continued social distancing guidelines and COVID-19 protocols campus has in place. You can also register online at winthrop.edu/homecoming.
If you need hotel accommodations, please call the Alumni Association at 803/323-2145, and the staff can assist you.
