Nousheen is a teenage girl like any other. She spends too much time
online, gossiping on Facebook with her friends, and stressing about
college applications.
She’s also a modern Muslim girl living in a third world country, an
environmentalist who wears her hijab with designer jeans. And she
wants to change the world.
But she’s not sure if her world has a future.

Every day, Nousheen sees the
terrifying evidence of global warming
in her own city of Dhaka. Once-fertile
farms are flooding; homes are being
destroyed; and slowly but surely,
the entire city is drowning. Global
warming is happening. It’s obvious.
It’s right there. And nobody’s doing
anything about it.
She wants to know why.

WHERE'S DHAKA AGAIN?
Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh, one of the most fertile places
on earth. It’s the 9th largest city in the world, and it has the
fastest growing population on the planet. Bangladesh sits almost
entirely at sea level.
A rise in ocean levels would have catastrophic consequences for the
City of Mosques and all her 16 million residents.

The best way to find answers is to hire a PI. PIs are not afraid to
ask the tough questions. They're willing to hold the experts' feet
to the fire and aren't tied to a lifetime of research that has to
prove one point. They go back to the basics, assume nothing, and
won't stop until they have all the facts.
Nousheen hired Norton & Cassel because she wants answers.

ʝʞ Is it real? Is climate change even really happening?
ʝʟ If it is real, then are people to blame?
ʝʠ If it is real and if people are to blame, then why aren’t people
doing more about it? Why wouldn’t we want to save ourselves?
To answer these questions, Kurt and Amy will go to the sources,
traveling the world to talk directly to the experts and see the
evidence for themselves.
…and Nousheen is going to do some investigation of her own.

This isn’t just another climate change documentary. It's not 90
minutes of guilt and fear. There are no lone polar bears stranded on
the last patch of ice in a warming ocean and no penguins struggling
to survive arctic blizzards.
This is a human story — Nousheen’s story. It's a story you haven't
seen before - a story about a smart Muslim girl, a determined
teenager who's going to change the world with or without you. It's
the story of an amazing young woman exploring the world to discover
how one person can make a difference.
Her adventure is your adventure — a journey that is both informative
and exciting. Above and beyond explaining the carbon cycle or
international politics, we are going to entertain. Simple as that.
If you’re not enjoying yourself (and maybe accidentally learning a
thing or two) then we’re not doing our job.

We’re lucky. From the lines of boats waiting in Dhaka’s Port of
Sadarghat at sunrise, to smoldering Icelandic volcanoes, to the
brilliant blue waters of the Great Barrier Reef, the best evidence
for our investigation just happens to be the most breathtaking
scenery on the planet. Framing our interview subjects within these
dramatic environments will draw audiences into our world and our
investigation. Lush cinematography will do the rest.
Above all, we will entertain viewers with a true story. Every
decision will be dedicated to that one simple goal.

and former TV host based out of Perth, Australia,
Joanne is the author of The Skeptic’s Handbook (over
200,000 copies sold worldwide, translated into 15
languages), in which she points out that climate
skeptics are usually seen as the shills of the
corporate system, but supporters of global warming
get 3,500 times more funding for their research.
Dr. MicHael e. Mann
A member of the Penn State University faculty, Mike
has published dozens of papers and two books and
is famous for creating the concept of the “hockey
stick” graph explanation of climate change. He was
named one of Scientific American’s fifty leading
visionaries of science and technology and shared a
Nobel Peace Prize with other Intergovernmental Panel
on Climate Change (IPCC) authors in 2007.
JosepH Bast
President and CEO of The Heartland Institute, a 28-
year-old national think tank considered one of the
most recognized and widely regarded in the country,
he has published 21 books, including Eco-Sanity: A
Common-Sense Guide to Environmentalism, and says,
“A modest amount of global warming will be on net
beneficial, both to human beings and the ecosystem.”

He was director of the International Arctic Research
Center of the University of Alaska Fairbanks from
its establishment in 1998 until January 2007. As
director of the Geophysical Institute (1986-1999),
Dr. Akasofu concentrated his effort on establishing
the institute as a key research center in the
Arctic. He received his Ph.D. from the University of
Alaska Fairbanks in 1961.
Dr. gavin scHMiDt
A climatologist at the NASA Goddard Institute for
Space Studies (GISS), he helped develop the GISS
oceanic model used to create better models for
climate prediction and was awarded the inaugural
Climate Communications Prize for his work on
communicating the issues in an accessible way to
the public. He just published a new book, Climate
Change: Picturing the Science, using vivid pictures
from all over the world to capture what global
warming really looks like.
KatHerine HaYHoe
A professor at Texas Tech University, she works
tirelessly to bridge the gap between scientists and
stakeholders to bring nonprofits, industrial leaders,
and federal agencies to the table to discuss climate
change. An Evangelical Christian, Katherine is the
co-author of A Climate for Change: Global Warming
Facts for Faith-Based Decisions and uses her unique
perspective as a religious scientist to evaluate the
controversy surrounding global warming.

Kurt & amy are dedicated to finding the truth. they’ll talk to experts on both sides of the argument — not
those who get the microphone because they shout louder than everyone else, but well-reasoned people who can
argue their case in plain english. Ultimately, this is not an equal time debate. scientific inquiry that
gives balanced time and weight to all arguments does not necessarily serve a private investigator well.
