Impacting Poverty with Ingenuity
Our Mission
About Nourish International
Since 2006, Nourish International has grown into a national movement with 60 Chapters on college
campuses in the US and Canada and a National Office in Chapel Hill, NC.
Our ModelNourish International accomplishes its mission by serving as a platform for students to make a global impact today. The Nourish International Model has three parts:• Student Leadership Development – students gain skills in social
enterprise, responsible development, and leadership to create lasting change• Ventures – students run these socially responsible businesses to raise
money and help support people, planet and profits• Projects – students and partners (community-led, grassroots NGOs)
establish lasting relationships centered around addressing issues related to extreme poverty. Chapters invest the earnings from their ventures and also commit small intern teams for a 6-8 week project alongside the partner organization.
Our Model• Our approach is unique in that it
addresses the massive needs of communities with sustainable, scalable solutions, while catalyzing tomorrow’s leaders to take action now. Nourish students partner with communities who lack the necessary funds and resources for development projects, but who have the entrepreneurial vision to eradicate poverty.

Ventures
THE TRIPLE BOTTOM LINE IN ALL OUR VENTURES• The Triple Bottom Line Theory considers the impact of business on People, Planet, and Profit.• PEOPLE: Our Ventures respect the health, safety and prosperity of
all producers, vendors, volunteers, consumers and the greater community, ensuring fair and beneficial practices towards all involved.• PLANET: Our Ventures respectfully steward the environment. All
products are sourced, consumed, and disposed of in a way that reflects sustainable environmental practices.• PROFIT: Our Ventures create a viable business that sustainably
produces profits
Why Ventures?• We believe that business can be a
powerful tool for creating opportunity and seek to use markets when possible to produce sustainable wealth and possibility for both our communities and communities abroad. We seek to invest in social enterprise.
• Ventures vary across campuses and include Business Ventures like Sidewalk Symphonies, Hunger Lunch and Cafe Nourish and Event Ventures like The Thrift Sale and Hold’em for Hunger poker tournament.
Our Impact•Our lasting impact on extreme poverty comes in two main ways:• Through our projects where we invest in long-term, community-based solutions to poverty• Through our students whom we equip with the entrepreneurship, leadership, and cross-cultural skills they need to become lifelong agents of social change
