COMMON NOUNS
- Common noun refers to a category or a class of people, places, things, or ideas.- Do not capitalize a common noun unless it begins a sentence

- Proper nouns are the names given to particular people, animals, places and things.
- Always begin with capital letter

EXAMPLE
How countable nouns are used
Using “a” for consonant or “an” vowel
• A cat, a bee, a frog.• An elephant, an owl, an umbrella
Using “the”
