INFORMATIONTECHNOLOGYREVIEWThroughout this year the Leadership Team has been collaboraFng with the School Board,staff, parents and a range of InformaFon Technology consultants to review the school’scurrentICTprogramme.WeareveryclosetohavingeverythingfinalisedandIhopetosendadetailed lePer to all families early next term. In the interim, I am able to advise that thelaptopprogrammethatexistsinYears4-6willbephasedoutoverthenexttwoyearsandwillbereplacedbyatabletdeviceprogrammethatwillprovideallchildrenfromYears1-6withaccesstoaonetooneprogramme.Thiswillbefundedthroughanannuallevythatwillbothreplacethecurrent$170ITlevyandtheexpenseofpurchasingthelaptopaschildrenenterYear4. It isenvisagedthatthis levywillbebetween$330and$350perannum.Whilstthisrepresentsanincreaseinwhatparentsarecurrentlypayingannually,acrosseachchild’sFmeatNotreDame,itrepresentsasavingofapproximately$700-$800withadeviceavailabletoallchildrenfromYears1-6.ParentsofchildrenwhowillbeinPrePrimaryandYears5and6in2017willonlyconFnuetopaythecurrentlevy.

Itwasgreattotryoutsportsthatwehadneverplayedbefore.
