PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Second Collection Today for

FSSP Houston: There will be a sec-ond collection today to help parish-

ioners of our Houston FSSP aposto-late. Fr. Joshua Houck FSSP, of the

Houston apostolate, has informed us that many of his parishioners have

lost everything. The church itself only suffered a little water damage but many parishioners are still suffering from the aftermath of the storm. To find out how you

can help, please visit www.reginacaeliparish.org as well as making a donation in the second collection.

Transportation Help: A member of our parish who

can’t get around as well as she used to is looking for a fellow parishioner to bring her to Mass once a month. She has been a member of our community since Fr. Fryar was stationed here. She is also a bene-

factor of our seminarians and purchased the new red set of vestments used by Fr. Passo. She lives in east Mesa close to All Saints Catholic Church (Recker Rd.). If you live in this area and could help her get to

mass, please contact Fr. Passo.

Church Cleaners Needed: Saturdays after the

8:00am mass is church cleaning time, but our numbers

have been dwindling. The priests devote this time to training new altar servers, but if there are no church cleaners, their training is forgone. as they have to help with church cleaning. Sometimes, there are only one or two ladies who clean the entire church on Saturday, which is quite exhausting for them.

Fr. Passo is asking that parishioners (families espe-cially) sign up for church cleaning. This would be an excellent way to teach your children how to serve God by cleaning His House. Fr. Passo has fond memories of watching his parents and working alongside them, with and in any necessity that the priests had.

Anyone can help on Saturdays. The contact person

who will help organize cleaning is Eve Barbieri. Mrs. Barbieri can be contacted at 602-796-9919 or [email protected]. We hope to have

many volunteers so that each family or set of individu-als will only be responsible for one Saturday every other month or so. Please help us provide the very best for Our Lord.

Website Help Needed: We are looking for an indi-

vidual to help maintain phoenixlatinmass.org, our par-ish website. Duties would include uploading pictures,

posting announcements, taking down old content, etc. Basic website management and organizing skills are needed. We will compensate you for your time. If interested, please contact Fr. Passo.

Sunday Rosary: Until CCD resumes in the fall, the

Rosary will be recited at 10:30 each Sunday. Please be

considerate and avoid making unnecessary noise in the parish hall when the choirs are rehearsing.

Pro-Life Rosary: The priests of MMM would like to

continue the steadfast practice of praying outside the abortion clinic on Thursday mornings through the sum-mer. Please join us if you are able to attend. The Ro-

sary will begin at 8:00am at Family Planning Associates located at 700 E. Willeta in Phoenix.

SUNDAY COLLECT Almighty and everlasting God, grant unto us an in-crease of faith, hope and charity: and that we may ob-

tain what Thou dost promise, make us love that which Thou dost command. Through our Lord. .

SUNDAY EPISTLE: Galatians 3: 16-22 Brethren: To Abraham were the promises made, and to his seed. He saith not: And to his seeds, as of many; but as of one, and to thy seed, which is Christ. Now this I say, that the testament which was confirmed by God, the law which was made after four hundred and

thirty years, doth not disannul, to make the promise of no effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise. But God gave it to Abraham by prom-ise. Why then was the law? It was set because of transgressions, until the seed should come, to whom He made the promise; being ordained by angels in the

hand of a mediator. Now a mediator is not of one: but God is one. Was the law then against the promises of God? God forbid. For if there had been a law given,

which could give life, verily justice should have been by the law. But the Scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by the faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. ..

SUNDAY GOSPEL: St. Luke 17: 11-19

At that time, as Jesus was going to Jerusalem, he

passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee: and

as He entered into a certain town, there met him ten

men that were lepers, who stood afar off, and lifted up

their voice, saying: Jesus, master, have mercy on us.

Whom when He saw, He said: Go, show yourselves to

the priests. And it came to pass, as they went, they

were made clean. And one of them, when he saw that

he was made clean, went back, with a loud voice glori-

fying God: and he fell on his face before His feet, giv-

ing thanks: and this was a Samaritan. And Jesus an-

swering said: Were not ten made clean? And where are

the nine? There is no one found to return, and give

glory to God, but this stranger. And He said to him:

Arise, go thy way; for thy faith hath made thee whole.

Were not ten made clean? And where are the nine?
