NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION

Project Location:325 S. Washington Road, Turlock Irrigation District, Washington Substation
Project Need:
To continue maintaining power system reliability as growth continues to occur on the west side of Turlock and toenable electric distribution demand to be moved from Commons Substation which will alleviate congestion onTID’s sub-Transmission (69 kV) System.
The proposed project would tie into the Walnut-WEC 115 kV transmission line that runs along the south fence lineof the subject parcel. Use of the proposed project site would eliminate the need to expand or construct newtransmission lines as existing transmission facilities can serve the substation.
Project Description:
The proposed project site is located at 325 S. Washington Road in unincorporated Stanislaus County. Theproject will expand an existing 10.0-acre substation facility to include an additional 2.0 acres of new equipment,utilizing portions of the site that have already been fenced, graded and disturbed for use as a storage yard.
