Dy. General Manager (Mech.) on or before 22/06/2012. For every
prequalification, the application fee will be separate.
16 Declaration by Contractors:
All the information filled herein and attached hereto are true to the
best of my knowledge and belief. I/we declare that in the event of
finding them false, the enlistment if made will stand cancelled
without any notice or reference thereof. It is further certified that
I/We will not get myself/ourselves registered under more than one
name.
NOTE:
1. The enlistment of Contractors shall be at the entire discretion of NFL based on objective
evaluation of the details regarding past experience, technical and financial competence, and
resourcefulness of the Contractors/Firms/Companies.
2. NFL reserves the right to reject any or all the Applications without assigning any reasons
thereof.
3. NFL has the right not to issue tender form to any particular Contractor/Firm/Company and can
also suspended, remove/de-list, demote or black-list the Contactor’s name under certain
circumstances.
4. All parties are requested to apply for prequalification with all the required documents in
one go. Incomplete application forms are liable to be rejected.

(MAINTENANCE PLANNING CELL)
Applications are invited from Competent Contractors for the following jobs at NFL, Vijaipur
located at Guna District of Madhya Pradesh. Our plant is Natural gas (NG) based Fertilizer Plant
comprising of two Plants. Different sections of Plant are Ammonia-I, Ammonia-II, Urea-I, Urea-
II, Captive Power Plant and Bagging Plant. Parties interested in pre-qualification at NFL,
Vijaipur must have work experience in relevant fields at Fertilizers / Petrochemical Industries.
TENTATIVE SCOPE OF WORK is mentioned against various Contracts (for Web-site)
along with estimated value as under:
1. Reference No. NFVP/M/MPC/PQ/1/ (2011-12)
Annual Rate Contract for Miscellaneous Mechanical Maintenance Jobs at NFL,
Vijaipur:
Estimated value per Annum: Rs. 75.00 Lakhs
The Scope of Work includes but not limited to the following:
i. Opening of Flanges, Blind Flanges, Manhole Covers, Handhole Covers, Flat End
Cover of Heat Exchangers and lowering to the floor or ground level as per instruction
of Engineer In-charge. Cleaning, repair and polishing of gasket sheets, lapping of ring
gasket, lubricating nuts & bolts and boxing up as & when desired by the Engineer In-
charge.
ii. Removal of valves from installed position, shifting to floor or ground level, shifting to
Workshop, if required, cleaning & repairing, polishing of gasket sheets, easening &
lubrication of nuts & bolts and re-installation. In case a new valve is to be installed in
place of the old one, then arranging the new valve from stores or any other place as
told by the Engineer In-charge and cleaning its gasket faces etc.
iii. Fabrication of pipe line (CS, AS & SS) including handling, Gas cutting, edge
preparation by grinding, fit-up welding & Heat Treatment as per standard Engineering
Codes & Practice and finally Hydro-testing up to the required Test Pressure. Alloy
Steel welding is to be done by IBR qualified Welder if required.
iv. Fabrication of Mitre Bends, Reducers, Tees including cutting, edge preparation,
welding etc, as per standard Engineering Codes & Practices.
v. Erection of Pipe Line as per supplied drawing or as per instruction of Engineer In-
charge, including erection of necessary pipe supports & saddles, boxing up of all
flanged joints, shifting from Workshop or stores to job site & shifting of balance
material from site to Workshop or stores.
vi. Dismantling of pipe line including pipe supports, as per instructions of Engineer In-
charge, including gas cutting, dismantling and removal of old piping, shifting the same
to store/yard of workshop.
vii. Structure fabrication, including but not limited to handling, drilling gas cutting,
grinding, bolting and welding of steel structure elements comprising of angles,
channels, I-beams, rounds and plates of various sizes and thickness.
viii. Dismantling of structure by opening bolts, gas cutting, removing and shifting to main
stores/scrap yard.

ix. Erection of steel structure as per supplied drawings or as per instructions of Engineer
In-charge, including drilling, bolting and welding wherever required. Shifting of
material from stores/workshop to site & shifting of balance material from site to
stores/workshop.
x. Scaffolding arrangement, cleaning of gasket faces, lapping and easening of bolts &
nuts are in Contractor’s Scope.
xi. Opening & Boxing up of Dish End of Heat Exchangers. Opening of connected pipe
flanges and accessories, slip plating, lowering of Dished End, cleaning & repair of
gasket seat, lapping etc., assembling back, finally leak testing.
xii. Replacement of Tube Bundle of Heat Exchangers. Opening and boxing up of
connected pipe flanges and accessories, removal of Heat Exchanger from position,
replacing tube bundle after opening Dish Ends & Floating End. Re-assembling,
restoring pipe connections and accessories and testing of Heat Exchanger up to the
desired pressure.
xiii. Attending leakages for steam, water, air, gas, process fluid etc. Job includes gas
cutting, grinding, welding, assistance in DP Test and fixing of feed plate/clamp if
necessary.
xiv. Replacement of Suction Filters of GTG / GTG PAC as per the instruction of Engineer
In-charge. Job includes the removal of old Suction Filters and then installation of
new/washed Suction Filters.
xv. Supply of Contract Labour for unplanned / unforeseen Plant breakdown or shutdown
jobs.
xvi. To assist NFL Employee in executing various Mechanical Maintenance jobs in routine
day to day Maintenance of various Plant in General shift & central shift or in Shift
Duty in various Plants.
xvii. Maintenance of Belt Conveyors System, Conveyor Belts, Weighing cum Tripping
Machine, De-dusting Blowers and De-lumbers as per the detailed Scope of Work
mention in the Schedule of Rates.
xviii. Load Testing of various Lifting Tools & Tackles which includes Testing of EOT
Cranes, Testing of Chain Pulley Blocks and Reconditioning of Chain Pulley Blocks if
required.
xix. Any Scaffolding arrangement required against the Item rates shall be in Contractor’s
Scope.
xx. To get issued material from Stores, shifting to site & return of balance material if any
to Stores.
xxi. The Contractor shall be responsible for final clearance of the site of work after
completion of entire Maintenance work. In case of non clearance by the Contractor,
NFL has a right to recover the cost of the same from the Contractor.
xxii. The Contractor shall deploy/maintain adequate no. of workforce for smooth running
and timely completion of the job.
xxiii. All Dimensional Measurements should be properly recorded by the Contractor &
complete Record to be submitted to Engineer In-Charge after completion of the work.
xxiv. Contractor shall provide personnel and any other necessary items, for the purpose of
inspection & measurement at his own cost.

Annual Rate Contract for Supply and application of Paint on Equipments, Piping and
Structures:
Estimated value per Annum: Rs. 60.00 Lakhs
The Scope of Work includes but not limited to the following:
i. Complete supply of all painting materials, transportation of materials to site, storage at
site, handling, unpacking, disposal of packing material, providing scaffolding,
cleaning, surface preparation, application testing and retouching (with paint) for
Equipments, Piping and Structures etc. at his cost, except where otherwise specified as
per Engineering Standards and Technical Specifications indicated herein and
instructions of Engineer-in-charge.
The work involves painting of Equipments, Moving Machineries, Piping and
Structural etc., which may include but not limited to items as mentioned below :
a) Steel structures: Platforms, Ladders, Hand Rails,
Gratings, Staircases, and other Plant Structures.
b) Static Equipments: Tanks, Ducts, Heat Exchangers,
Ejectors, Heaters, Towers, Vessels etc.
c) Machineries: Compressors, Turbines, Fans,
Motors, Blowers and Pumps Cranes, Vehicles etc
d) Piping: Piping, Valves, Safety Showers,
Safety/Control Valves, other in-line instruments,
Supports, Mountings and Fire Hydrants etc
ii. Writing of identification marks on Vessels, Machines, Equipments and Piping as
follows irrespective of whether painting of the same has been included in contractor's
scope or not.
iii. All Machineries, Vessels, Equipments shall have name and respective code numbers
stencilled in either black or white paint with or without background strip with
yellow paint as desired by Engineer-in-charge on the body/foundation. All
letters/numbers stencilled shall be unbroken.
iv. Identification Colour Bands shall be added at an interval of 10 metres and at
Junction, Valves, and Walls etc. The relative proportional width of the first colour
band and subsequent colour bands should be maintained and, the minimum width of
the narrowest colour band shall be 25 mm. The ground colour shall extend sufficiently
on both sides of colour to avoid confusion. In case the paint in the colour and quality
specified for a particular pipe and service is not available, synthetic enamel of
specified colour (suitable to resist temperature) shall be used for colour bands. The
colours for identification colour bands against each service shall be decided by
Engineer-in-charge at site. The payment of Colour Bands shall be made on the
basis of painted area.
v. The direction of flow shall be marked by arrows of suitable size and at suitable
intervals as per instructions of Engineer-in-charge.
vi. Arrow marks of proper size shall be painted, indicating direction of rotation of rotating
equipments, direction of flow near valves etc.

vii. Pipe lines carrying toxic and hazardous fluids shall be painted with hazard
marking of equal diagonal stripes of golden yellow and black at suitable intervals.
viii. The date of painting shall be indicated on the equipment as directed.
ix. The following surfaces shall not be painted:
a) Insulated surface of equipments & pipes, except colour coding, wherever
required.
b) Aluminium, galvanized iron, stainless steel, brass, copper and other nonferrous
material, plastic / plastic coated material, asbestos cement unless specified
otherwise.
c) Concrete Structures unless specified.
d) Name plates.
e) Valve stems, control valve/safety valve springs, shafts or wearing surfaces.
f) Tags/name plates attached to the equipment/machineries and piping etc. shall
not be painted / removed during painting job. Failing to comply with above, the
contractor may be required to replace the tag/name plate.
x. The contractor should provide sufficient number of drop cloth and shall exercise care
to protect all finished surfaces of floors and other work and shall immediately remove
all the spotters and stains/marks from such surfaces. He shall also take care to avoid
falling of paint on the moving element of equipments. Whenever required by
Engineer-in-charge the contractor shall use his own tarpaulins to avoid falling of paints
on finished products or running equipments.
xi. It shall be responsibility of the contractor to ensure that as and when work is over the
floor and all other things around are cleaned and that no paint or stains are left
anywhere. In particular he will ensure that all glass panels are properly cleaned after
painting.
xii. The contractor shall daily remove all the waste material as well as the empty
containers, packing cases etc., from work sites. The contractor shall be responsible
for final clearance of the site of work after completion of entire painting work. In
case of non clearance by the Contractor, NFL has a right to recover the cost of the
same from the Contractor.
xiii. The contractor shall deploy/maintain adequate no. of workforce for smooth running
and timely completion of the job.
xiv. All Dimensional Measurements should be properly recorded by the Contractor &
complete Record to be submitted to Engineer In-Charge after completion of the work.

Annual Rate Contract for Hot & Cold Insulations and refractory Repair jobs at NFL,
Vijaipur:
Estimated value per Annum: Rs. 30.00 Lakhs
Hot and Cold Insulation and Refractory Jobs, which includes Insulation of Pipes, Vessels,
Columns and Refractory Work in Reformers, Boilers etc at various heights etc.
a) Hot & Cold Insulation-Hot Insulation with LRB (Lightly Resin Bond) Fiber
Mattress with Density of 150 Kg/M3 as per IS 8183 & IS-9842 (Temp. upto 800ºC).
b) Cold Insulation, with Rigid Expanded Polyurethane Foam (PUF) with density
approx. 45 Kg/M3 and temperature range -50ºC to +100ºC.
c) Spray Insulation on Turbine Casings, Steam Pressure 100Kg/cm2 & Temp. 500ºC.
d) Calcium Silicate Insulation with moulded bricks and Pipe sections, operating
temperature +251ºC & above with density 240 Kg/M3.
e) Supplyof complete raw material required for maintenance works of Hot and Cold
Insulation including transportation, loading, unloading etc. strictly in accordance
with detailed specifications in section materials and job specification and as per
scope of work detailed in Schedule of rates.

Estimated value per Annum: Rs. 10.00 Lakhs
I. The Scope of Work for Rubber Lining of Vessels, Internals, Piping, etc.
The job involves repair as well as fresh rubber lining for maintenance purposes of
various sizes Pipes & Pipe Fittings, Tanks, Vessels and its Internals, Concrete Pits etc.
All the materials required for Rubber Lining shall have to be supplied by the
Contractor and the rates quoted in Schedule of Rates include the material cost,
transportation, handling etc. The Contractor shall have to take up any job irrespective
of quantum of work involved as per requirement at site.
The lining required is for tanks, vessels, concrete pits, piping to handle filtered water,
dematerialized water during normal operation and sulphuric acid of 4% and alkali of
5% concentration during regeneration. The working temperature varies from 40ºC to
65ºC and pressure is 7 kg/cm2.
The thickness of rubber lining is either 3 mm or 5 mm and the rates for rubber lining
may be quoted accordingly.
The rubber lining shall have to be done as per IS: 4682 (Pt.I). The Hardness of the
Rubber Lining after curing shall be 70 + - 5 Shore-A.
The party shall carry out Spark Test after completion of Rubber Lining as per IS-4682
and submit Test certificate for the same.
II. Scope of Work for Rubber Lining of Conveyor Pulleys / Idlers:
The Contractor shall collect the pulleys/idlers from NFL, Vijaipur site and deliver back
the material after rubber lining and other jobs as applicable. The rate of handling,
packing etc. shall be included in item rates quoted.
III. Scope of Works for Vulcanizing of Belt Conveyors:
Splicing and preparation of joint.
Heating of joint to required temperature and cooling down of joint.
Any other job related to vulcanizing of Belt Conveyor.
All vulcanizing material and splicing tools shall be in the scope of Contractor.
Dunlop/MRF/Phoenix Yule make vulcanizing compound shall be used for vulcanizing
jobs
IV. Scope of Works and details of FRP Lining:
The FRP lining required for tank and concrete pits carrying sulphuric acid with
concentration varying from 0.4 to 97%. The temperature of fluid may vary from
ambient temperature to 95 deg C.
The quotations should be submitted for Bisphenol resin and the rates shall be quoted
per sq. meter basis.
The density of fibre glass used should be 32 Kg per cubic metre.
The thickness of FRP lining shall be 3 mm and 5 mm as per Plant requirement. The
Party shall quote for both these thicknesses separately as per schedule of Rates. The
thickness indicated above is inclusive of surface material.
The FRP lining job shall be carried out at NFL site only.

Working Hours:
The normal working hours shall be considered from 8.00AM to 5.00PM with one hour
lunch break. The rates quoted shall be applicable for on line leak sealing work

On the first day, normal working hours shall be eight hours starting from the time of
reporting at plant during normal working hours and no overtime shall be paid till 8
hours of actual work executed. Sunday / Holidays shall be treated as normal working
days i.e. no overtime shall be paid for 8 hours job.
Call Out Charges:
If the team is called to do work or for estimation purpose and later on, work is not awarded,
call out charges shall be paid for the same.
Travelling Expanses:
Travelling Expanses shall be paid for each visit on lump sum basis as per the schedule of
rate irrespective of mode of transportation. No additional payment shall be made for
cartages.

The Scope of Work of the competent person will include but not be limited to the
following:
a) To carry out the inspection for testing of lifting tools & tackles as per Section 29
of Factory Act.
b) To carry out the inspection and testing of pressure vessels as per Section 31 of the
Factory Act,1948 and Rule-67 of M.P. Factory Rules,1962.
c) Pressure vessels which are under continuous process duties may be pressure tested only at the time of start up of the plant after turnaround/break down. Necessary
exemption for Chief Inspector of Factories shall be arranged by you. Necessary
visual inspection & NDT testing shall be carried out and certified on six monthly
basis as per Factory Act.
d) Pressure vessels filled with catalyst wherein, it is not practicable to fill water,
shall be tested with gas pressure once in four years. You shall arrange necessary
exemption from Chief Inspector. However, six monthly testing as per statutory
requirement shall be carried out in your supervision.
e) The inspection/examination/certification to be done by you on the prescribed forms under section 29 & 31 of the Factory Act,1948 & M.P. Factory Rules,1962
or any other amendment for lifting tools & tackles and pressure vessels etc.

c) Hard Chrome Plating of Plunger.
d) Grinding of Plungers to the required size, surface and hardness as indicated in the
drawings enclosed.
e) All sharp corners/edges to be rounded off to avoid any stress concentration.

g) The end coupling portions of the plungers should be protected from any

Inspection:

7. Carrying out NDT Inspection of all complete Journal Bearings after repair, as per

a) Dye Penetrant Test, as per ASTM E-165, Section-V and Appendix-VIII of ASME
Section-VIII, Division-1.
b) 100% Ultrasonic Examination to check proper boding of White metal.
8. Pre-dispatch Inspection of Repaired Journal cum Thrust Bearings if required shall be
carried out by N.F.L. Engineer and shall include NDT Inspection as per Clause I.7 of
Scope of Work and Dimensional Inspection.
9. Application of necessary Preservative / Anti-Rust Coating on the complete Journal
cum Thrust Bearings to avoid corrosion.
10. Final packing before dispatch to avoid any damage during Transit.
11. Submission of Complete test Reports in duplicate in Original, which shall include
following:
i. M.T.C. indicating chemical compositions of the new white metal material.
ii. Ultrasonic Test Certificate as per relevant standard for proper bonding of White
metal Lining.
iii. Dye-Penetration Test Certificate as per ISO Standard for any surface cracks.
iv. Dimensional Measurement / Accuracy Certificate.
v. Guarantee Certificate against any manufacturing defects, for a period of 12 months

The Scope of Work includes but not limited to the following:
i. Contractor’s Scope includes Supply of Skilled/Unskilled Manpower such as General

Labour & Helpers during Annual Turnaround of NFL, Vijaipur as per the Plant
requirement.
ii. The manpower shall be supplied on 8 Hrs. basis and 12 Hrs. basis as per the instruction
of the Engineer In-Charge.
iii. The Contractor shall deploy/maintain adequate no. of Supervisors to ensure smooth
running and timely supply of manpower against the Contract.
iv. The requirement of manpower may vary as per the Plant requirement and Contractor
shall have to supply the manpower as per the revised requirements.
All the Statutory requirements like PF account Registration No., PAN No., Service Tax
Registration No. shall be produced by the Contractor with the documents submitted for the
pre-qualification.

Contract for Re-tubing of Heat Exchangers at NFL, Vijaipur site.
Estimated value: Rs. 5.00 Lakhs
Heat Exchangers of different types are installed at NFL, Vijaipur. Shell & Tube type
Heat Exchanger may be Stationary Head Type, Floating Head Type, Straight Tube
Type, U-Tube Type, etc. Scope of work includes but not limited to the following:
a) Dismantling and Handover of Exchanger / Tube Bundle: NFL shall hand over the
Equipment which may be at various heights in Plant.
b) Dismantling of Tube Bundle and Cleaning: Dismantle Tubes from Tube Sheet with
taking necessary cares to avoid damage to the tube sheet. Pulling out all the old tubes
from the tube sheet of exchanger and cleaning of the tube holes. Party shall be well versed
in above work of Re-tubing of Heat Exchangers with Mechanized arrangement.
Dismantling Baffle Plates and Spacers / Tie Rods to replace as per requirement if found
not in workable condition; i.e. holes in Baffles expanded / oval shaped / Spacers and Tie
Rods thinned down / corroded, etc.
c) Assembly of Tube and Tube Sheet: Assemble Baffles with Spacers (to be made from
removed tubes of Exchanger) and Tie Rods as original assembly. Assembled Tube
Bundle to Stationary Tube Sheet by inserting new tubes carefully through the tube holes
in tube sheet, expanded (so as to have full surface contact of tubes outer surface with
Inner surface of holes in tube sheet) and shall be welded if specified in the drawing of
NFL and tolerance standards in TEMA.
d) Expanding Tubes in Tube Sheet Joints: Expansion of all the tubes to the length at least
2.5 times the diameter of tube and Expansion in Percentage 5.0 in ID of tube, all in
accordance to standards of the TEMA-R. Party shall furnish full details of the Procedure /
Sequence of Operation, Expander Size and Torque Values.
e) Welding of Tube-to-Tube Sheet Joint: Welding of tube-to-tube sheet joint shall be
Strength Welded in accordance to with the document “Welding Procedure Specification
and Procedure Qualification Record” for Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel as the case may
be. Prior to strength welding of tube-to-tube sheet, tubes shall be expanded (Roller
Expander) as mentioned at (c) above to avoid voids. Liquid penetrant examination shall
be applied to all the tube-to-tube sheet welds. Any defects in the welds shall be reground
out and re-welded using the same procedure used for the original welds. The repaired
welds shall be examined by liquid penetrant examination not so as to have any defects.
f) Leak test and Hydrostatic Test: Air Leak Test and Hydraulic Test shall be carried out to
establish that there is no leakage in tube-to-tube sheet joints as per standards.

ii. Fabrication of pipe line (CS, AS & SS) including handling, Gas cutting, edge
preparation by grinding, fit-up welding & Heat Treatment as per standard Engineering
Codes & Practice and finally Hydro-testing up to the required Test Pressure. Alloy
Steel welding is to be done by IBR qualified Welder if required.
iii. Fabrication of Mitre Bends, Reducers, Tees including cutting, edge preparation,
welding etc, as per standard Engineering Codes & Practices.
iv. Erection of Pipe Line as per supplied drawing or as per instruction of Engineer In-
charge, including erection of necessary pipe supports & saddles, boxing up of all
flanged joints, shifting from Workshop or stores to job site & shifting of balance
material from site to Workshop or stores.
v. Structure fabrication, including but not limited to handling, drilling gas cutting,
grinding, bolting and welding of steel structure elements comprising of angles,
channels, I-beams, rounds and plates of various sizes and thickness.
vi. Dismantling of structure by opening bolts, gas cutting, removing and shifting to main
stores/scrap yard.
vii. Erection of steel structure as per supplied drawings or as per instructions of Engineer
In-charge, including drilling, bolting and welding wherever required. Shifting of
material from stores/workshop to site & shifting of balance material from site to
stores/workshop.
viii. Contractor has to supply Cranes as per required Capacity for Erection and
commissioning jobs. NFL may supply the Cranes to Contractor on chargeable basis.
ix. Credentials of the Crane operators must be supported by documentary evidence of
having operated similar cranes/ equipments. He should also possess heavy vehicle
(including Road Roller) driving license of Transport Authority, He should have at least
10 years experience and eye test certificate obtained from the registered eye specialist.
x. Riggers should be capable of doing all type of rigging jobs specially handling of heavy
loads/large size equipments. Dismantling, assembling/increasing/ decreasing boom
lengths etc of Cranes.
xi. Helpers should be semi-skilled persons who have earlier experience of working in
industry or with riggers in similar jobs. In no case raw hands will be accepted as
Helpers.
xii. Any Scaffolding arrangement required against the Item rates shall be in Contractor’s
Scope.
xiii. To get issued material from Stores, shifting to site & return of balance material if any
to Stores.

xiv. The Contractor shall be responsible for final clearance of the site of work after
completion of entire Maintenance work. In case of non clearance by the Contractor,
NFL has a right to recover the cost of the same from the Contractor.
xv. The Contractor shall deploy/maintain adequate no. of workforce for smooth running
and timely completion of the job.
xvi. All Dimensional Measurements should be properly recorded by the Contractor &
complete Record to be submitted to Engineer In-Charge after completion of the work.
xvii. Contractor shall provide personnel and any other necessary items, for the purpose of
inspection & measurement at his own cost.

Contract for Supply of specialized manpower of Repair / Replacement of Burner Blocks
and Refractory Work at NFL, Vijaipur.
Estimated value: Rs. 5.00 Lakhs
SCOPE OF WORK / RESPONSIBILITY OF MANPOWER
a) Different Equipments / Vessels which require Repair / Replacement of Burner Blocks and
Refractory Work are Primary Reformer, Secondary Reformer, RG Boiler, Heat Recovery
units, etc.
b) Tenderer will supply supervisors, refractory work masons and, carpenters who have
expertise and experience of the jobs of replacing primary reformer burner block
replacement and refractory brick lining of furnace.
c) Exact date of commencement of job shall be intimated to the Tenderer in advance.
Tenderer shall mobilize manpower accordingly at a maximum notice period of 7 (seven)
days.
d) Activities shall progress on round the clock basis; therefore the total manpower shall be
suitably divided in different shifts by the NFL’s Engineer In Charge (E.I.C.).
e) Tenderer shall bring all necessary tools related to this job so that each worker can work
independently without affecting other’s job. The cost of bringing tools shall be included in
the workmen’s rate of supply. Also Tenderer will submit list of tools along with their
quotation.
f) Tenderer shall abide by all applicable labour laws and general terms and conditions of the
contract.
g) To & fro local conveyance, boarding and lodging and other living expenses shall all be
responsibility of the Tenderer. N.F.L. may provide accommodations on chargeable basis,
depending on availability and prior intimation of the Tenderer.

Contract for Overhauling / Refurbishing of GE Designed MS-5001; 5361 & 5371 Gas
Turbines at NFL, Vijaipur.
Estimated value: Rs. 25.00 Lakhs
SCOPE OF WORK (includes but not limited to the following):
1. Overhauling Work: Tenderer shall carryout pre-repair inspection / assessment of all the parts
including sub-assemblies to bring out all the defects, damages and deviations in the operating
parameters like power, pressure, temperature, vibrations, etc. of Gas Turbines in conformance to GE-
Operation / Maintenance philosophy. Major activities includes but not limited to the following:
a) Boroscopic Inspection.
b) Combustion Chamber Inspection.
c) Hot Gas Path Inspection.
d) Major Inspection and overhaul.
e) Trouble Shooting.
2. Repair / Refurbishing & Replacement of Parts: Tenderer shall carry out all necessary Repairs /
Refurbishing or Replacement of parts, so as to rectify all the defects noticed during pre-repair
inspection including metallurgical and dimensional aspects in conformance to GE repair procedures,
standards and tolerances. Major activities includes but not limited to the following:
a) Hot Gas Path Components.
b) Auxiliary Components.
c) Gas Turbine Rotor.
d) Casings.
e) Generator Rotor.
f) Generator Stator.

Annual Maintenance Contract of Locomotives at NFL, Vijaipur.
Estimated value per Annum: Rs. 7.00 Lakhs
Scope of Work includes but not limited to the following:
i. Contractor / Party have to carry out Preventive, Predictive and Breakdown Maintenance
of 650 hp San locomotive, 700 hp BHEL Diesel electric locomotive, 350 hp BHEL
Diesel electric locomotive as and when required.
ii. The scope of the supply includes but not limited to the Preventive, Predictive and
Breakdown Maintenance of pneumatic control system, electrical control system, power
system, torque convertor, gear boxes, diesel engine, brake system and all measurements.
iii. Party shall deploy technical experts, skilled manpower competent enough to carry out all
above maintenance. However unskilled manpower shall be provided by NFL.
iv. Party will deploy their own expert and competent manpower in sufficient number at NFL
Vijaipur for carrying out above jobs along with special tools, general tools and tackles.
v. Party shall visit monthly for preventive, predictive maintenance. However party has to
deploy their technical manpower within 24 hours in the case of emergency/breakdown.
vi. Party shall carry out regular periodical maintenance of all systems and recommend the
spares required for regular maintenance. However the spares will be procured by NFL
separately.

Annual Maintenance Contract of Safety and Up-keeping of Main Workshop, Plant
Workshop areas and Loco shed.
Estimated value per Annum: Rs. 2.00 Lakhs
The Scope of Work includes but not limited to the following:
i. General Maintenance & Safety of machine shop, equipments, removal of scrap & chips from
machine shop, shifting of Scrap material from various plants & shifting to yard, cleaning of
lubricant oil, removal of cutting oil spillage around the equipments, De-dusting of machine
racks, floor and assistance in material handling for the shop activity.
ii. The contractor may depute such employees as he may think fit. The employees should be the
employees of the contractor for all purposes whatsoever and shall not be deemed to be in the
employment of NFL for any purpose whatsoever. If under any circumstances whatsoever.
NFL is held responsible to the employees of the contractor in respect of any matter. NFL
shall be reimbursed by the contractor for the same. Any other expenses incurred by NFL as a
result of any claim. NFL shall be entitled to claim/demand compensation from the contractors
in that event.
iii. The contractor shall make his own arrangement for housing his workmen. No land tenement
within the property of NFL Vijaipur shall be made available to the contractors.
iv. It shall be duty of the contractor to pay the minimum wages to its employees as specified by
the Govt. from time to time. Contractor shall have no right whatsoever to claim the escalated
wages after the award of the contract from NFL as notified by Govt. from time to time.
Upward revision of Minimum Wages from time to time shall be deemed to be inbuilt in the
quoted rates by the contractor.
v. The contractor should satisfy himself with the site conditions prevailing at the place of work.
He shall be deemed to have apprised himself of all the ground conditions at site including
weather condition.
IMPORTANT NOTE:-
1. The Parties shall submit separate Demand Drafts for each category of above Work
Contracts for Enlistment at NFL, Vijaipur.
2. NFL may visit party’s works/site to assess its capability and confirm its credentials.
