Summary

• Texas unemployment has been below the national rate for 8 consecutive years.

• DFW will continue to be a leader in job and population growth by creating 115,800 jobs in the last 12 months.

• 1Q15 housing starts totaled 239, a 1.2% increase from 4Q14.

• Vacant Developed Lot supply is 1,553 which should allow the district to maintain or exceed the total number of 2015 housing starts.

• Peterson, Cox and Schluter have the highest activity of new home starts representing 42.8% of the total starts this quarter.

• NWISD can expect an increase of approximately 5,200 students during the next 5 years.

• 2019/20 enrollment projection: 25,080 students

• NWISD is projected to have over 31,697 students for the 2024/25 school year.
