Office Locations The Parks and Recreation office is located in the Recreation Center at Hillside across from the water tower, the back entrance to Hillside Middle School, at 775 N. Center Street, Northville, MI, 48167. The Northville Community Center is the ideal place to host your special event. The Community Center offers several rooms: 4 Meetings Rooms, a Stage, Kitchen and Banquet Room, that can accommodate 20 to 120 guests. All rooms are Wi-Fi accessible.

The Recreation Center at Hillside and Community Center have full sized Gymnasiums available, as well. In addition the Recreation Center at Hillside also has two(2) mini-gyms, and a batting cage.

Toddle Time Ages 1 – 4Come in out of the cold and bring your toddler(s) for this drop-in open gym time. They can run, jump, play, laugh and giggle in a safe atmosphere, while learning socialization skills. Children must be accompanied by an adult, the entire time. Please, bring a toy your toddler can ride or push. A small amount of play equipment is available on site. Pay building attendant with correct change. Adults are free, no pro-rated time fees. power, strength and endurance. We want to create a strong mind and body through fitness in a fun and safe environment. Learning new obstacles each week helps athletes develop a positive mind set towards themselves and others. Setting and achieving goals help boost their self-confidence and self-worth. Grown Up & Me Ages 6 - 36 monthsSharing, Choices, Imagination, Collaboration, FUN! This structured playtime is the perfect introduction to the value of dance. Grown-ups help stretch at the beginning and keep them on task. The grown-up is expected to do all of the dancing with their young dancer. Center Stage Dance Company Get your dancer ready for her/his first class by visiting the studio’s in-house shoe & apparel store. It’s quick and easy and provides an opportunity for you, and your dancer, to become familiar with our facility. Parents are invited into the classroom every 3 - 4 weeks to view the progress the dancers are making. Three comfortable lobbies are available for family members to occupy during class time. All class fees include unlimited tickets to the end-of-session performance at a (TBD) Northville school auditorium. Youth Tennis LessonsCome join the fun and learn the exciting game of tennis with our pro Todd Beyer and staff. Lessons will be offered for beginner to advanced.

Rain-out and make-up classes are offered for any reason (including your vacation) by attending another scheduled class of the same level. Beginner/Advanced Beginner - for players that are new to the sport or have had some experience. Class will teach and review fundamentals through drills and fun and competitive games.

Intermediate - for players who can sustain a rally and already know the fundamentals of the game. Classes will be faster paced and include stroke instruction, games and point play situations. Students will be divided by ability in class.

Youth AthleticsYouth Volleyball Volleyball after school mini – clinics girls and boys Ages 8 - 14 Each session is comprised of 4, 1 hour clinics emphasizing individual skill development, game related exercise and training. This is an excellent opportunity for all elementary and middle school players to improve and learn new skills. Beginner/Intermediate: Players who are new to the game, emphasis will be on basic skill building and fundamentals game.Advanced: Players who are familiar with the game and have a solid skill base, expected to consecutively pass and set 25 times in the air and the wall. Fall Youth Basketball Leagues for Girls & Boys Grades 3 - 8Our league emphasizes skill development, team play, and good sportsmanship for all involved. Evening practices are held once a week depending on coach and facility availability. Games will be played on Saturdays between 8:00am and 4:00pm, with an occasional Sunday game mixed in. An 8 game season will end with a “Position Day” matchup on the last weekend of games. Practice will begin two weeks prior to the start of your first league game. Maximum of 10 players on a team. TGA Premier Junior Golf Grades K – 7 TGA Premier Junior Golf combines athletics, academics and life lessons to create a fun, safe, and engaging youth program. Our goal is to develop not only as lacrosse players but as team mates, fostering long lasting friendships. Lacrosse Officials One Day Intro Clinic Ages 16+Get involved in lacrosse with the third team on the field. Lacrosse officials are an important part of the game. With the growth of the sport, well trained officials are needed for both the boys and girls game. This introduction to the rules and the opportunities to officiate in Michigan will prepare you for the spring 2018 season. Babysitter Training Course Ages 11+This 6½ hour course covers basics of care giving for infants through school age children. Topics included are diapering, feeding, safe play, first aid, critical emergency action skills, interviewing for jobs, professional and responsible behavior, and leadership roles. Teen Enrichment

Ski and Snowboard Club Middle school and high school skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels are invited to join the Northville Ski and Snowboard Club.

Membership will include motor coach transportation every Friday night to Mt. Brighton, group rates for lift tickets and discounts on all rental equipment. Sixty-minute group lessons with Mt. Brighton Instructors are available, for a small fee. It is recommended all participants take at least one group lesson to evaluate their skiing/snowboarding ability before they attempt any terrain areas or advanced-level chairlifts and hills.

Important information to consider:• All parent chaperones are required to undergo a confidential background check. The form, available on our website after November 30, 2017, must be completed and returned to Recreation Center at Hillside by January 3, 2018 in order to be considered a chaperone for the season. • At no time will there be any one-way travel. Members must ride the bus to and from Mt. Brighton. No exceptions.• Fee includes four lift tickets. Adult Basketball Leagues 18 years and olderOur competitive basketball leagues encourage good sportsmanship. Enjoy an outstanding cardiovascular exercise during a competitive game of hoops. Fee includes 9 games, referees, and scorekeeper. Season ending position day game, and playoff game follows the regular season. High School game rules; (2) 20-minute halves running clock; 5 on 5. Adult Tennis LessonsJoin the fun and learn the exciting game of tennis with our pro Todd Beyer and staff. Lessons and Drill/Play are offered for a variety of levels. Come out to the courts and play tennis with others from our community. Bring a racquet, water bottle and tennis shoes to class. Rain-out and make-up classes are offered for any reason (including your vacation) by attending another scheduled class of the same level. Program Cancellation Policy:Northville Parks and Recreation reserves the right to cancel an activity due to low enrollment and will provide a full refund to participants. Participants will have the opportunity to enroll in another activity if space is available. If an activity is cancelled due to inclement weather or circumstances beyond our control, Northville Parks and Recreation will make every effort to reschedule the activity. Activity information regarding cancellations and make-ups will be communicated via email. For extreme circumstances participants will be called. All participants must have a valid email address and phone number(s) at time of registration.

Refund Policy:A refund check or credit card refund will be issued and/or mailed to the payee within 3 weeks of the request. • If the Northville Parks & Recreation Department cancels: Payee will be refunded the full amount.• Participant cancels prior to the beginning of the 1st class: Full amount minus $15 processing fee.• Participant cancels after 1st class and before the 2nd scheduled class: 50% of class fee.• Refunds will not be issued for requests made after the second scheduled class.Please note the following:• Fees with ticketed events, concerts, excursions & one-day activities are non-refundable.• No refunds for missing any portion of a class or event due to vacation, schedule conflict.• No pro-rated fee once class/activity has begun.• Camp refunds must be requested at least 7 days prior to the first day of camp.
