He progressed through a wide variety of positions in engineering, logistics, advanced product development, program management, production operations, business development and executive management. During his 37-year career, he was a leader in the tremendous growth of international business at Lockheed Martin. The Aeronautics Company achieved unprecedented growth in revenue and profitability, achieving more than $14B in annual sales. during his seven-year tenure as president, the Aeronautics Company achieved unprecedented growth in revenue and profitability, achieving more than $14B in annual sales. Mr. Heath is a US Army veteran. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and holds an FAA commercial pilot’s license. He is the recipient of the 2005 AIAA Reed Aerospace Award. He was named the National Management Association Executive of the Year in 2007. We all enjoyed the AIAA North Texas meeting held on June 7, 2012, to celebrate the achievements of our distinguished members.

A special thank you goes to Ralph Heath, AIAA Fellow, for his interesting and entertaining talk that reflected on his 37 year career in the Aerospace and Defense Industry...”A River Runs Through It.”

Mr. Heath joined Lockheed Martin in 1975 as a design engineer at the beginning of the F-16 fighter program. He progressed through a wide variety of positions in engineering, logistics, advanced product development, program management, production operations, business development and executive management.

During his 37-year career, he was a leader in the tremendous growth of international business at Lockheed Martin.
