FEATURE STORY by: Joan Firnhaber Northland Center is excited to kick off the New Year with the re-opening of the fitness center on January 18th! The ownership team at KBS Realty Advisors is committed to creating a healthy environment for the tenants of this complex. The newly renovated facility will provide access to top of the line Precor fitness equipment and the hottest trend in training, Fitness on Demand. The Fitness on Demand system gives each user access to nearly 200 different fitness programs. The facility updates will include an increase in number of showers, updated finishes and a more powerful WIFI system. Also there will now be 4 different classes that will be available every day, Monday thru Friday. Hours of operation have been extend during the week 6am to 8pm and will now be open on Saturdays from 7am to 3pm. Best feature of all, the use of this facility is FREE to each and every one of our tenants. To sign up just go to our building website northlandcentermn.com and click on the amenities tab, select the fitness center, complete the waiver form and email to [email protected] The CWN Property Protection team will add this programming level to your building access card (please allow 5 business days for this to be completed). 2015 TENANT HOLIDAY LUNCH AND BOUTIQUE
We would like to take this opportunity and thank all the wonderful vendors that participated this year, along with Isabella's Cafe for catering the fantastic and delicious lunch. Also, a big thank you to all our wonderful tenants! We hope that you enjoyed the boutique and lunch as much as we did.
TENANT FEATURE This month we interviewed PointClickCare. They have been at Northland Center since November 2015 and are located in the 3500 building, suite 155. Please take a moment to get to know what they do and how they have enjoyed their time so far.
PointClickCare(PCC): We are the leading cloud-based software platform for the senior care market. Our software takes a person-centered approach to managing senior care, connecting healthcare providers across the senior care continuum with easy to use, regulatory compliant solutions for improved resident outcomes, enhanced financial performance, and staff optimization. Here at our Minneapolis office we focus on Home Health Care segment of the Senior Care market.
NC: How long has PointClickCare been in business? PCC: PointClickCare was founded by two brothers, Mike and Dave Wessinger, in 2000. The company has repeatedly grown every year. Our current customers include more than 10,000 Long Term Care and Senior Living centers in the Unites States and Canada. PointClickCare has repeatedly been named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies and Technology Fast 50 by Deloitte. We feel very fortunate to be part of such an excellent company. NC: How many employees are located at Northland Center? PCC: PointClickCare expanded into Minnesota in June of 2015. We currently have 21 employees specializing in Product and Software Development working at our Northland Center office. PointClickCare as a whole employs over 1,100 employees around the world.
NC: What made PointClickCare locate to Northland Center? PCC: Before relocating to Northland Center we were working out of temporary office space in the area. We decided the Edina area was too wonderful to leave, so as a team we researched our options and found Northland Center to be the perfect fit! Our staff fell in love with the many great amenities the building has to offer and the abundance of natural sunlight!
NC: What type of community involvement does PointClickCare do/have? PCC: PointClickCare employees are encouraged and rewarded with flexible paid time off to engage in volunteer activities within their local community. NC: Any other interesting facts or information you would like to share about your company? PCC: PointClickCare strongly believes in a healthy life-work balance for their employees. We stock a variety of healthy snacks and juice for our staff as well as subsidizing lunch 3 days a week. We work hard but have fun (we all know happy employees make happy customers). PointClickCare maintains a 99% customer retention rate even though our month-to-month subscription model means our customers can technically leave us at any time.

FITNESS CENTER
We are very excited and hope you are too for the fitness center opening on January 18. The improved fitness center will have updated finishes through-out along with new lockers and showers. If you have not already, stop by and see the new finish boards on display outside the fitness center. There will be fresh towels available in the men's and women's locker rooms. The fitness center will have Fitness on Demand in the group exercise studio. The system will offer over a hundred exercise programs such as Yoga, Pilates, Cycling, various cardio and strength classes, see link below for more information. We will also have all new cardio equipment, treadmills, stepmill, stationary bike, ellipticals, spin bikes, strength training, free weight machines and equipment.
