As you walk around during the cocktail hour, try to take an opportunity to introduce yourself to our newer members. When I was a new member, I felt so self-conscious at first; I would have loved it if anyone had introduced herself to me. I am especially looking forward to hearing Barbara Rinella’s dramatization of The Traitor’s Wife by Allison Pataki at this first luncheon. This popular historical novel revolves around the life of Benedict Arnold and his scheming wife. It should be a delightful program! I am also very excited about our Benefit on October 25 th . It will be aboard the Odyssey which will launch off of Navy Pier and cruise around the Lake. We have never had a Benefit like this and it promises to be very a memorable and fun filled event! I hope you will be able to attend. Therefore, don’t lament the ending of summer, but look forward to a fall filled with wonderful new opportunities. Enjoy the rest of your summer!!
