Playing the Game The aim of the game is to score a goal by throwing/rolling the ball across the opponent’s goal line. The game is non-invasive so players must stay within their own half. Eyeshades must be worn at all times during a game and substitutes and officials must remain quiet. When the ball is thrown, there are a number of possible outcomes:

• 2 whistles = GoalThe ball crosses the opponent’s goal line and the referee will announce the score. The team who conceded the goal are given possession of the ball and the game restarts on the referee’s whistle and call of “play”

• 1 whistle = PenaltyThe referee will say the name of the penalty (e.g. high ball, 10 seconds, illegal defence, eye shades, noise, etc.) and the name of the player to defend. The other 2 players will be taken off court. The game restarts after the penalty on the referee’s whistle and call of “play”.

• OutThe ball is thrown directly out over the side line. The referee calls “out” and the ball is the given to the nearest winger on the opposing team. The game restarts on the referee’s call of “play”.

• Blocked outThe ball is “blocked out” of play by the opposing team. It is immediately given back to the nearest winger on that team and the game restarts on the referee’s call of “play”.

• No whistle or callThe team have successfully blocked the ball so the game continues.
