scheduled for Sunday, September 23!

This is a congregational event for all

ages.

demonstrations & tasting

10:00 a.m. Worship Service

11:00 a.m. (or after worship): Rosemaling

demonstration, hardinger demonstration and

cemetery walk/scavenger hunt.

12:00 noon: Celebration lunch. Chicken

sandwiches, escalloped potatoes, jello salad,

relish tray, bars, coffee, water or lemonade.

Following the luncheon, there will be a short

program.

churches during worship.

This year for God’s Work, Our Hands day {see

photos above}, North Waseca held two cleaning

days at church in preparation for our upcoming

160th Anniversary on September 23.

On Thursday, August 23, we focused on outdoor

clean up of the church grounds, cemetery, and

treeline. Special thank you for all who volunteered

on this day: Dan & Cheryl Forrest, Dan Jensen &

Mary Kunelius, Roy & Delores Srp, Randy &

Marita Wadd, Larry & Marion Fischer, Glady Carl-

son, Barb Paulson, Greg Thomsen, Bruce Johnson,

and Pastor Kristen.

On Saturday, August 25, we focused on indoor

cleaning, especially washing windows, painting the

sign box on the front of church, and polishing

woodwork. Special thank you to all who volun-

teered on this second work day: Don & Diane

Munson, Duane Johnson, Dan & Cheryl Forrest,

Gladys Carlson, Dan Jensen & Mary Kunelius, and

Pastor Kristen. Special thank you also to Thrivent

for provide free T-shirts and a meal for each of

these work days!

Backpack Sunday Students: please bring your school backpacks to

worship on Sunday, September 9 for our Back-

pack Blessing Sunday. You will receive a bless-

ing and a small gift for your backpack!

Rally Sunday

Sunday school youth and parents from NWLC are in-

vited to join our sister congregation, Faith Lutheran

Church, for a special Rally Sunday event on Sunday,

September 16 beginning at 8:45 a.m.

The theme for this year’s Rally Sunday will be “Noah’s

Ark.” As a part of this theme, the Minnesota Zoomobile

from Apple Valley, will be joining us and sharing a 45

minute presentation and will be bringing up to 5 live

animals with them for the presentation.

Rally Day begins at 8:45 a.m. with a special Noah’s Ark

snack, the MN Zoomobile presentation at 9:00 to 9:45

a.m., followed by Sunday School registration and wor-

ship at 10:15 a.m.

There is no cost for this event. Please feel free to invite

a friend or neighbor and join us for this fun and infor-

mative event as we kick off a brand new year of Sunday

School for both churches!

churches at the regular time. 8:45am North Waseca.
