Power Control Centers
Power Control Centers are used for distribution and control of various power source used in the industry. These power control centers control, monitor & continuously provide supply to connected loads through breakers. If anything goes wrong with the source or load, these PCCs comprising breakers cut down supply and the rest of the system stays healthy. Normally Power Control Centers are installed near the power source hence fault level is high. It is designed to suit the fault level of 50KA or 65 KA for 1 sec. Busbar systems in Power Control Centers are designed to suit the fault level as well as temperature rise to 40°c above ambient. Ample space is provided for cable termination. Various protections viz short circuit, overload, earth fault, under voltage etc. are provided to protect source and equipment.

Motor Control Centers
The primary electricity load in any industry arises from low and high voltage motors. These motors being an integral part of any operation must be kept healthy throughout their lifetime. The Motor Control Centre takes care of controlling, monitoring & recording of the power supplied to motors MCCs are suitable for operation of motors ranging from 0.5 HP to 500 HP capacities. They can handle various types of starting methods including Direct online (DOL), Star-Delta, autotransformer, Soft starter etc. They can also be operated locally or remotely using PCC (Power Control Center) and DCS (Distributed Control Center) systems. Enhanced thermal management in the MMCs is ensured for higher motor power ratings with the help of increased air ventilation. The component layout is made so as to facilitate the ease of operation and maintenance.

Power Distribution Panels
Power Distribution Panel is a component of an electricity supply system that divides an electrical power feed into subsidiary circuits while providing a protective fuse or circuit breaker for each circuit in a common enclosure. Since it is located downstream, the fault level is normally lower, which is in the range of 20 to 35 KA. Normally they are designed to carry currents up to 800 A. The advantage of using PDAs is to clear fault locally, without affecting the upstream switchgear.

Air Circuit Breaker Panels
Air Circuit Breaker Panels are normally used for the protection of power source and electrical equipment situated on the downstream. They isolate and protect the source from short circuit, overload, earth fault, under-voltage, etc.
- Ratings: 400A to 6300A - Breaking Capacities: 50kA to 100kA - 3 Pole / 4 Pole Versions with Fix / Draw-out configuration - High Short time withstand capacity, Icu=Ics=Icw for 1 sec for total selectivity - Different terminal orientations: Flat, Horizontal and Vertical
HT Panels
HT Panels are used for the operation of potential transformers, capacitors and motors. They house HT Circuit Breakers, relays & metering that is used to receive 11KV/33KV supply (from one or more source) and distribute the power through its outgoing feeders. The outgoing feeder may be one or more it depends on the load.
Main functions of HT panels
- To make & break HT supply (or switch on or switch off supply), - To receive & distribute HT supply, - To provide protection against faults, - To provide metering to monitor various parameters.
Relay and Metering Panels
Relay and metering panels are used to control HT breaker on remote operation. They facilitate centralized control of the related controlled equipment in power stations, switching stations and industrial plant. They contain protective relays required for the system and metering to measure electrical parameters.

Automatic Power Factor Improvement Systems
Automatic Power Factor Control Panel is designed to maintain the power factor of the plant to unity. To maintain the power factor of unity means to achieve demand in KVA on the lower side. Power factor is maintained to set the value using APFC relay in auto mode whereas in case of failure of APFC relay pushbuttons are used. Auto, as well as the manual mode, is provided for power factor control. Various types of capacitors are used depending on load conditions. Typically MPP, APP or mix dielectric types of capacitors are used. In case of non-linear loads like VFD, UPS thyristor switching, suitable reactors are used along with capacitors to filter harmonics.
Type Automatic power factor correction panel
APFC Relay Current sensing, KVAR sensing.
Capacitor APP/MPP Heavy Duty/ Mix dielectric
Type Higher size of contact rating for better performance on capacitor switching.
Ventilation Exhaust Fan of adogvate capacitor with levels.
Operation Auto operation through APFC controller and manual through PBS Time lag function is provided between the switching of capacitor

Feeder Pillars
A feeder pillar is a cabinet used to house electrical equipment. Feeder pillars act as a central circuit that controls and distributes electricity to outgoing circuits downstream to the feeder pillar. This setup provides each circuit protection, along with the capacity to be easily controlled. A feeder pillar-box protects personnel from coming into contact with live wires, as well as protecting wires from dust and dampness.
