The real estate market activity for Sept. 2011 as compared
with Sept. 2010 shows relatively positive results for the
Hollins area and Northern Roanoke County. The good
news for the area was active inventory of homes for sale
was lower, days on market is down and pending contracts
were up. Another positive sign is the median sales price
was only 1% lower year over year and the homes sales
closed in Sept. was also higher. This is one of the few areas
in our region with an overall positive outlook for home
