Is an emblem of innocence, it should
be clean and white in color. It is also
the badge of a Mason and should be
worn with pride and honor to the Fraternity. Officers
should wear the apron assigned to the office they
were installed into for that year. Past Masters should
wear their Past Masters Apron which can be any
design except Gold accents should never be used
except for Grand Lodge Aprons. The apron is to be
worn under the coat unless you are wearing a double-
breasted coat or an overcoat.
When addressing mail to a Brother
Mason, do not put his title as such on the
envelope. It should be addressed as:
Hon. John Doe
In the salutation of the letter the title should
appear as:

Brethren,
Thank you thank you for advancing me to the first step, of the
principal officers of the Lodge. It's been fun and educational in re-learning
the ritual of the Masonic Order. I first entered masonry in October 1968
and receiving my (3) third degree in February 4th 1969 in an eastern area
Cleveland, Ohio Lodge. I was a regular attending Mason for several years.
I did not have the time to get involved in advancing in the lodge at that time, it was an obligation of nine (9)
years. I was working a lot of extra hours, and at one point I began attending occasionally, and then none at all.
When I arrived in Florida and got involved in Shrinedom in 1988,I went to several different Florida
Lodges with Shrine friends or when I was on the Shrine Devan.
Being a member of the North Port Shrine Club, and the organizers of the upcoming
North Port U.D. Masonic Lodge, were asking for members to get involved I did so, starting with Junior
Steward. It's hard to get the ritual into my block of wood, I will do my best.
Yours in Fraternal friendship
David "Wheatie" Wheatcroft, JW
In 1969, seventeen Masonic Lodges from the
22nd and 23rd districts incorporated the Masonic
Park and Youth Camp, Inc. as a 501 (3)c nonprofit
corporation. The purpose of this corporation is to
own, develop, improve, operate, and manage a camp
for the primary use of young men, women and
families. The Masonic Park seeks to promote the
moral, intellectual and physical well being of such
people through education in the conservation of
wildlife and natural resources. The Masonic Park
provides an opportunity for such young people to
learn and develop the qualities of leadership and
physical fitness by providing for them lodging
amenities, outdoor athletic facilities, canoeing,
hiking, lecture and wild life exploration, indoor
entertainment halls, dining facilities, and much more.
In the same year, the Masonic Park and Youth
Camp, Inc. purchased 204 pristine acres of
wilderness property located at 18050 U.S. Hwy. 301
South in Wimauma, Florida. The property is bordered
by three quart miles of the Little Manatee River and has
a small lake on the property. One reason for such a
purchase was to provide accommodations for RV's,
motor homes, and motor coaches. As part of the park
development, we've incorporated over 125 acres of
hiking trails. Along the trails, you'll find some of the
most beautiful wildlife that Florida has to offer.
They have partnered with the Florida Fish and
Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Florida
Youth Conservation Centers Network (FYCCN). The
Commission's commitment to research, education, and
conservation of Florida wildlife compliments the overall
purpose and design of the Masonic Park. The FYCCN's
bold new program, jointly sponsored by the Florida Fish
and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the
Wildlife Foundation of Florida, leads the effort to
reconnect Florida's children with traditional outdoor
activities.
