As usual it has been a very busy time at our school. Our Foundation Stage ClassMrs Hillier’s children have settled into school really well. They have been finding out all about Autumn and collecting lots of leaves and fruits to use in their Maths and Art activities.Harvest FestivalWe held our annual Harvest Festival in St Michael’s Church in October. It was very exciting as Miss Wynne was playing the organ for the very first time. She was very impressive! Our donations of food have been sent to The Community Larder project.

helped to bring our learning to life! Liz and Ruth from Newark Museum also came into school to talk to us about the rationing of food. We all changed our name for the day. We quite enjoyed being called Hilda, Cecilly and Ida although we are glad to have our own names back. Life was certainly hard for families at this time.BoxerciseMiss Wynne’s Class took part in a session of Boxercise with P.C.S.O Boyle. It helped us to increase our knowledge of self-defence whilst keeping us fit at the same time.Junior P.C.S.O’s We have now appointed new Junior P.C.S.O’s. If anyone has a problem we can go and share it with them.School councilThe School Council have been busy ordering new play equipment and this should be with us in the next week. They are also researching new bins for our classrooms and the school playground and field.

Our visitors from The Mellor School in LeicesterMembers of the School Council had a visit from pupils’ from the Mellor School in Leicester. We shall be visiting their school later on in the year. They will help us find out lots of information about different cultures whilst we aim to help them set up a garden area.World War 2Our topic this term is World War 2. We have been lucky enough to Visit Eden Camp where we all had a splendid time! It was amazing. It felt like it was real and really helped us imagine what it would have been like to live in those times. It

Over the summer the sleigh has been painted, checked over and re-wired ready for the Christmas season so, weather permitting, we should be ‘doing the rounds’ in Hykeham, Skellingthorpe, Brant Road and Witham St. Hughs. We also have some static displays with our sleigh being at The Forum, Newark Road, ASDA supermarket and also at Pennell’s Garden Centre, South Hykeham. A total of over £3000 was collected last year for which we are most grateful and must say a really big ‘THANK YOU’ to all the generous people who kindly donated to us. Let’s hope we match or even beat last year’s total. Here are the dates the sleigh will be in your area...

The runs usually aim to start at 6:00pm and end by 8:00 pm – we don’t want to be accused of waking up all the children any later in the evenings. Put a note in your diary now and give us a wave as we pass on those cold winter nights. Oh, and, most important - don’t forget to have a bit of change for our collecting buckets – all the monies will go to good local causes and help people in your area.

HykehamLions News

Recently Hykeham Lions were fortunate enough to be able to have a display in the foyer of ASDA supermarket in the town. We had a collection for our funds to distribute to needy causes in your area and we displayed our posters and banners explaining who we are, what we do and where the money has been spent. The ‘LION’ in the picture is Nigel from the ASDA management team who was extremely helpful to us and volunteered to be our Lion for the day greeting customers and helping us raise money. Thanks Nigel – your help was greatly appreciated. Well, that’s all for now. Don’t forget to look out for us on the sleigh runs and from myself and all members of Hykeham Lions may I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and new year.

Best wishes, Lion Barry CooteHykeham Lions Publicity Offi cer.

Proposed boundary change affects North Hykeham

A further period of consultation is underway on proposals to change the boundaries of the parliamentary constituencies within North Kesteven. Following extensive consultation this time last year on its suggestions, The Boundary Commission for England has revised its proposals for new Parliamentary constituencies in England. These are now open to further comment through to December 10, during which time there will be displays in the lobby entrance area to the North Kesteven Council Offi ces in Sleaford and information at NK Info Links in North Hykeham. The Commission is not proposing any revisions to the initial proposals for Lincolnshire, which would see a change of name for the Sleaford and North Hykeham Constituency to Sleaford. In a drive to ensure every English constituency has between 72,810 and 80,4773 electors in the fi ve wards making up North Hykeham together with the Waddington West Ward would be added to the Lincoln constituency and the Bracebridge Heath and Waddington East ward would be returned from Lincoln to the newly named ‘Sleaford’ constituency. This would give an electorate of 79,559 for the Sleaford Constituency and 78,664 for Lincoln. Whilst the Commission welcomes written representations regarding the constituency boundaries, their main focus will be on those constituencies that have been revised since the initial proposals. It says that particularly compelling further evidence would be needed to persuade them to make changes now to proposals that have already withstood intensive scrutiny during the earlier stages of consultation. Once the Commission has considered its fi nal recommendations for the whole of England, it will submit a formal report to the Government by next October, beginning a parliamentary process to bring fi nal changes into effect for the 2015 General Election. Do residents want North Hykeham to be included in Lincoln constituency? Would this be the beginning of the town’s incorporation into Lincoln? Let us know what you think but, more importantly, let the Boundary Commission know; if you don’t you can have no complaints when the change is made.

Local traders are encouraged to dress their windows for Christmas in a competition run by the Town Council. Shop Local to support them.

Autumn was the theme for one evening and after chatting about hibernation the Beavers set about making hedgehog cakes. There seemed to be as much chocolate icing on their faces as on their cakes. While one Lodge were in the kitchen making their cakes, the remainder of the Colony coloured pictures of a scarecrow and an acorn. It was such a busy evening it seemed we had no sooner said hello than we were saying goodbye. I am sure all the Beavers who attended the sleepover enjoyed themselves. Unfortunately our star and constellation spotting could not take place due to cloud and rain. They were all very good, especially when it came to bedtime – some were even asking to go to bed quite early! Not one of them woke up during the night, which meant they must have been warm, comfortable and happy. After a good nights sleep they were ready for action. On the Saturday, although it was still dull and misty, we did manage to spend quite a lot of time outdoors. The Beavers had made their own space aliens and rockets, toasted marshmallows, made their own lunch as part of the healthy eating award and searched for Saturn’s rings. By the time they went home, I am sure they were all well ready for a bath, tea and bed – as were the Leaders.

SWAN COLONY BEAVER SCOUTS

Back to our usual meeting place and time to try a new sport. The Colony now has a golf set, which was purchased using the Sainsbury’s vouchers collected earlier in the year. The set consists of clubs, irons, tees, markers, hoops and softballs. No need for the hall owners to worry – the set is all plastic. The Beavers tried two games out and once again the time had soon passed and it was time for home. Only seven Beavers attended our Halloween party – mainly due to it being half term. Those that did arrive had gone to quite a lot of bother with their outfits and it was quite difficult to identify who was who, so it was possibly a good thing

there were only seven. Apple bobbing was a favourite and even though the water was icy cold it did not seem to bother the Beavers. Delving into a bowl of jelly for sweets also went down well as did trying to eat mini doughnuts from string. The Beavers also went to town when they wrapped one of their team in toilet paper to create a mummy – I think they were the best I have seen. Following Halloween the Colony celebrated Guy Fawkes Night in the usual fashion. Bonfires made with sweets and models of Guy Fawkes were produced. Most of the Colony had returned from the half-term break and we also welcomed two new boys. Always a good move to have food involved on a new child’s first night. There were quite a few certificates and badges to hand out at the end of the evening, as some were earned on our sleepover. As it was time to say goodbye to one of the Beavers who is going to the Cub Pack, there was time for a quick game with the parachute before sending him under it and out of the Colony. Numbers in the Colony are quite healthy at the moment, but there are still one or two places to fill. Swan Colony meets at St. Hugh’s Church Hall, Harewood Crescent, North Hykeham on a Wednesday evening (6.15 – 7.45) and their leaders are Butterfly, Ladybird, Caterpillar, and Dragonfly. There is also a second Beaver Colony, which meets at All Saints Church Hall, Moor Lane, North Hykeham on a Friday evening (6.00 – 7.30) and their leaders are Kanga, Roo and Joey. The cost of all this fun – just £10 per month. If you have a child wishing to join either Beaver Colony please ring 01522 889397.

Just a ThoughtMission Men! (By Ken)

1: Felix Baumgartner ascended to 127,100ft (24 miles) above the Earth in a capsule attached to a specially designed balloon. Standing on the platform of the opened door he looked down and said “Going home”. He leapt off and plunged headfi rst toward the desert of New Mexico. Descending, he broke the sound barrier before reaching a speed of 833mph. His parachute deployed and he landed safely on the desert sand. His mission: to free-fall from higher and faster than any other human and gain entry into the record books. It was a fantastic achievement by a very brave man. Mission accomplished. 2: Jesus Christ, God revealed as man, descended to Earth from His throne in Heaven to be born in a dirty smelly cattle shed in Bethlehem. He became a skilled carpenter and prepared for the mission of His life’s purpose on Earth. He was crucifi ed on a rough wooden cross raised above the earth, for all people to see and lovingly gave His life that we might live. When His work on earth was complete He ascended back into Heaven. His Mission: to free ALL “His people from their sins”; (Matthew 1:21), and “that whoever believes on Him will not perish but have everlasting life”, (John 3:16). Jesus’ life and work is fully recorded

throughout the most widely read book ever, the Holy Bible. Mission accomplished. Here is the thought; two men, and two very different missions. One is temporal, linked to time and place, and will be challenged in the future. The other is eternal, which will never be repeated, because what Jesus Christ did is for once and for all only. Christmas is the season for celebrating the gift of God’s love to us. Jesus Christ is the reason for the season and not all the commercial hype that surrounds us. Come and meet us at Faith Christian Fellowship. Let us tell you about receiving the greatest gift that has ever been given to the people of the Earth. We meet each Sunday at 10.30 a.m. in North Hykeham Memorial Hall.Come and celebrate Christmas at our Community Christmas Carol Service Sunday 16th December at 4.00 p.m.

LEAP to it with praise for District athletesA reception held in the North Kesteven Civic Suite was an opportunity for the District Council to recognise and applaud the achievements of some of the area’s most talented young athletes. North Kesteven District Council seeks to promote, inspire and support the development of sports participation and success, especially among younger residents. One aspect of this is through its contribution to the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership. Nine young sports stars from North Kesteven have been funded and supported during the past year by the Sports

Partnership’s Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme, ranging in age from 11 to 17. Six of them were able to attend the Council reception held – just weeks after the close of the Olympic and Paralympic Games - to celebrate a year of signifi cant personal achievement. Amongst them was North Hykeham

residents Lauren Freeman (fourth from left in photo), 16, a swimmer, who secured places in the National Youth Championships with top-three qualifying positions and Kayaker Emma Tonner (fourth from right in photo), 15, who has used LEAP funding to buy a new light weight boat to gain a competitive edge.

Having to take four or more injections each day, and many blood tests, Courtney has managed her diabetes well, thanks to her passion for sport. A player for the Lincoln Ladies Centre

of Excellence Under 15s, Courtney has been playing football for two seasons at this level. She previously had three seasons with the Lincoln Centre of Excellence, and has used her love for football, and other sports, to control her diabetes. Nominated for her positive attitude, Courtney pushes

on to achieve her dream of playing professional football, and giving everything to playing sport and succeeding.Courtney carried the Olympic Torch through Bracebridge Heath on Wednesday 27th June.

From our Methodist MinisterNow that Hallowe’en and bonfire night have been and gone, retail establishments and the media would have us believe that Christmas is here! I visited someone in the first full week of November who had already received a Christmas card and I passed a house in the car around the same time that was already bedecked with lights and decorations! I can feel a ‘Bah! Humbug!’ coming on because I want to say ‘Whatever happened to the season of Advent?’ Amidst all the joy, fun and excitement of the season of Christmas we seem to have forgotten the 4 weeks or so that precedes Christmas Day and that this is a time in the Christian calendar of prayerful watching, waiting and preparing ourselves to receive the gift that is Jesus Christ, God’s Son. I wonder if some of my frustration is born out of the fact that we have nearly lost the art of ‘waiting’ for anything. We live in an immediate society that tells us we can have everything at once. Resources and commodities are available to us 24 hours a day, seven days a week and so should we choose to want something ‘right now’ we can often have it in next to no time. We are no longer encouraged to save up for some material product because we can either get a loan today and pay that back some time in the future, or ‘buy’ the product and not have to begin to pay for it for at least a few months. Bishop John Sentamu expresses what he feels about this kind of culture in these words ‘….today we are encouraged to take the waiting out of wanting, cut to the chase and get what we want right away, as though there is nothing worth waiting for……’. So ‘waiting’ becomes an unnecessary thing and when we do have to do it, it becomes a hindrance that stops us moving onto the next thing. But Advent is all about waiting. Not a passive waiting but an active time of waiting; waiting on God and preparing our lives in such a way that we are ready to

receive this gift beyond all measure and all wonder and of course for Christians today there is a sense in which we are in this waiting time before Jesus Christ comes again and so we ask ourselves are we ready for that too? Over the last few years I have come to love the poems of R S Thomas, a welsh clergyman, and the following poem called ‘Kneeling’ is one of my favourites and particularly speaks to me as we stand on the brink of Advent:Moments of great calm,Kneeling before an altarOf wood in a stone church In summer, waiting for the GodTo speak; the air a staircaseFor silence; the sun’s lightRinging me, as though I actedA great role. And the audiencesStill; all that close throngOf spirits waiting, as I,For the message.Prompt me, God;But not yet. When I speak,Though it be you who speakThrough me, something is lost. The meaning is in the waiting.

So amidst all the rush and business of things that the coming season brings I hope that we all find the time to patiently watch and wait for the Christ of Christmas to be born again among us.

All Saints Church of England Primary School

The school has been bustling with excitement as the term continues. A musical injection has been given to the year five children who are excited to be taking part in World Music workshops, where they are able to access a range of instruments and tuition to encourage their musical interests. Taiko drumming, Djembe and Samba lessons have formed part of this exciting experience that have allowed children to explore the culture of the music they are playing, whilst providing a meaningful context for their music. Years 3 and 4 had a fantastic day on October 24th, when they were transported back to 1940. This was the culmination of their World War 2 topic, which has driven their learning this term. They arrived dressed as evacuees, carrying their suitcases, ready to be evacuated to a mystery location. (The Ark!) They spent some time anxiously waiting to be told who they were going to stay with and imagined how scary that experience would have been for children in 1940. After a precious biscuit from the teacher’s ration they returned to school, where they were amazed to see the hall filled with World War 2 memorabilia. Paul and Linda Britchford from the ‘We’ll Meet Again mobile museum’ (information can be found at www.mobileww2museum.co.uk) had spent the previous 3 hours setting up their interactive exhibition. The pupils were able to handle real WW2 guns, grenades and mortars, as well as trying on army uniforms and gas masks. Paul and Linda shared their extensive knowledge of the Home Guard, Home front and rationing, illustrating their talk with more original artefacts. The pupils saw rationed sweets being weighed out and enjoyed the chance to try old favourites like aniseed balls and black bullets. Later the children went back to class to make observational drawings of some of the many artefacts and to do some practical maths; measuring up the classroom for blackout curtains and working out how much the material would cost, in old money of course. The day finished with a WW2 sing along and the children were then lucky enough to be transported back to 2012 and their own parents. Children and staff took a well deserved rest as they turned up for school in their pyjamas to raise money for Children in Need on Friday 16th November, the break didn’t last long as children took part in exciting activities to raise awareness of

the day and provide valuable funds for this worthwhile cause. The fun is due to continue as festivities begin to take form. The staff and children of All Saints North Hykeham are busily preparing for the Christmas Fayre extravaganza due to be held on Wednesday 19th December between 3.30-5.00, all are welcome to come and peruse the last minute offers available at this community event. It has been nice to see so many parents of pre-school children looking around in

preparation for September 2013 places at our school. If you would like to look around our school and see the exciting learning experiences that our staff have to offer your child please feel free to contact our school office on 01522 681417, where our administrator Mrs Laughton will be happy to book a time that is convenient for you. www.allsaints-northhykeham.lincs.sch.uk Ravensmoor close, Moor Lane, North Hykeham, Lincoln LN6 9AB

ManyHandsMakeLightWorkA busy morning was had by the children and staff from Park School Day Nursery. On Monday 22nd October 2012 they planted daffodil bulbs in the Village Green opposite the nursery school. The bulbs were kindly donated by the Co-op and this event was supported by a local resident. This event incorporates the values of the Early Learning Foundation Stage Curriculum giving the children the opportunity to explore and contribute towards their community. The children

plan to re-visit their bulbs to check on their growth during the spring term extending their learning to new life and growth.

The advent calendar doors are now being eagerly opened each morning (its the only time of the year when chocolate for breakfast is acceptable), as the countdown towards Christmas rapidly gathers pace. It would be nice to talk about glad tidings and joy but unfortunately in the world of youth football its currently far from that at the present time, as the proposed changes for drastic alterations for teams aged 11 and under is threatening to split the youth teams and leagues apart. As previously documented in this column, the FA (rightly or wrongly), are imposing changes that will basically end the current competitive league structure for all teams of age groups, aged 11 and under, in favour of what is called development football. (the full details of the changes can be found on both the Mid Lincs County Youth Website www.midlincs.com or the FA website www.thefa.com). However I do not wish to comment either way on the rights or wrongs of the changes although I can fully understand the arguments (well some of them), on both sides. The greatest concern is that this will cause a split in the structure or a two tier system of kids football in Lincolnshire. One that is development football governed by the FA and the other, in the format of competitive leagues unaffiliated from the FA. Hykeham Tigers view is that whatever the outcome the kids must come first and ideally be under one governing body. It will benefit nobody by having the county split in Footballing terms, most likely ending up with more travelling, never playing some local teams if they opt not to play in any potential league under the jurisdiction of the FA and as you can imagine numerous other possible implications. Our ethos and motto is sport for all, something that we believe has attributed to the rapid growth of Hykeham Tigers as a club. We believe that football should be available to all irrespective of abilities, (its much more important that the enjoyment is there). I believe that this can only be achieved with a united footballing community in the county, under one umbrella for the benefit of all, not just the few. I hope that the differences can be overcome and common sense will prevail.

Right, off my soapbox and on to the more important things, the on the field action. As usual many non competitive matches have taken place for our younger age groups and while I can’t report on them individually its encouraging to see a larger number of girls getting involved. At U9 age groups the A team are on a good run, having beat Nettleham 7-5 in the cup, they followed that up with two back to back 2-2 draws, with East Coast and HBW respectively. The U9B side are still looking for their first win of the season but based on recent performances that won’t be too far away as they are getting closer each game. Keep going boys. At under 10’s age group the A team, continue to make steady progress in the A league, an 8-1 victory over St Helens before going down 6-2 at the hands of East Coast. The B team lost out in a double header with the U10C team, with the U10C team themselves going from strength to strength, having now played seven and won seven, with the latest victories being over Swifts, Sibsey and Ruskington scoring 24 goals in the process. (Think I need some of what they are on..) On to the U11’s and the A team are sitting nicely in 4th place in the league, helped by victories over Louth and Lindum Hawks, (3-1 and 2-0 respectively). Not to be outdone the U11B team also recorded back to back victories, this time over Heckington (3-2) and Spilsby (3-0), unfortunately the C team are finding the going that bit tougher on the wrong end of defeats by East Coast and Swineshead. The Under 12’s A team have won one and lost one of their recent fixtures, the victory being a well earned 4-2 win over Ruskington before narrowly losing 3-1 to East Coast Juniors. Meanwhile the B team at this age group also had a win and a defeat, their win also coming against Ruskington (4-0), while the defeat was at the hands of Metheringham (0-3). For the Under 13A’s they recorded a good 6-1 victory over St Helens, before two close loses, both by a 2 goal margin, (Sleaford Town 2-4 and Birchwood 1-3). The U13B’s unfortunately also suffered two defeats, theirs being against Ruskington and North Lindum Hawks. Although there is still a lot of football to play, the U14A’s must be having sneaky thoughts about winning the league, as after nine games of the season they also sit proudly at the top of their division, their winning run continuing by taking all the points in their most recent matches, (Boston 4-0, Navenby 4-0 and Louth Town 1-0). Perhaps the best results for a Hykeham Tigers team belong to the two latest matches of the U14B’s, for after enduring a struggling start to the season, (with heavy defeats and lack of players), they have turned it right around, and won their last two matches, both by a 5-1 score line, against Swifts and Grantham. Very well done boys, patience and perseverance does pay. In the U15’s the A team continue to lead the charge at the top of the table, their cause

being further helped by comprehensive victories over Metheringham, Pointon and Horncastle. The B team also enjoying a victory over Pointon (3-2), but unfortunately exiting out of the cup following their tie with Greenbank. Following a narrow 4-3 defeat at the hands of Boston United, the U15C team have got their season back on track with a couple of draws over the two Pointon teams, to keep the points tally ticking along nicely. On to the older age groups and yet another Tigers team sit top of their league, despite getting knocked out of the cup by Wyberton, a 5-1 victory over Sutton United means that the U16’s remain proudly on top of the pile. Unfortunately the girls team at this age group are still searching for their first taste of success for the season. (Keep going girls and look to the 14B’s for inspiration). Our newly formed intermediate league teams (U18A’s and U18B’s), are both still finding their feet in their respective leagues but I’m told they are improving with each game, so hopefully results will follow. One side not struggling on the results front is our senior (men’s), team. They currently sit in third place in division two of the Lincoln and district Sunday league. We have now been at our new home (well new for some teams), at Fen Lane for a few months and I must congratulate North Hykeham Town Council for the facilities and general condition of the pitches, however there is one major problem.. Dog Mess. On a number of occasions before a match can commence dog mess has had to be removed from the pitches which is not pleasant at all. The council do all they can to alleviate this problem but it is impossible for dog wardens to inspect 24/7. I also realise that the vast majority of dog walkers are very responsible and careful, cleaning up after their animals but unfortunately, as always, its the tiny minority that spoil it. All I would ask is for, is to please clean up after your dogs and be vigilant, you wouldn’t like it if it was your son, grandson or other family member that slid through a pile of doggy doings on a Sunday morning. Enough said, thank you. On to more pleasant subjects, We will hopefully have some photos from our Christmas Bowling Party night in next month’s Gazette and also, while people might be dreaming of a white Christmas, can I please ask that its only during our two week festive break from football and not for a couple of months like the year before last. That just leaves me to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and Happy New year from all at Hykeham Tigers and remind you that you can keep up to date with Hykeham Tigers and all other general footballing and life’s observations on twitter @hykehamtigers.

thank him very much for doing so. PC Horsewood will contact present members to ask if they want to continue and will invite possible future members to join us. We shall though stick to a three strikes and you're out rule so that if any member does not attend three meetings in a row, for whatever reason, then they will not be invited to come along to a fourth! But that's for next year, in the mentime, have a very Merry Christmas and a glad New Year and may Father Christmas fill your stocking with exactly what you were hoping for!

Hykeham Neighbourhood Watch and Police Panel

Ok, change again: Our community bobby is now Mark Horsewood. Paul Truelove is working locally in another capacity. All others as before, but watch this space. As money gets tighter, there will be more people trying to separate you from yours, so do please be extra vigilant, keeping keys, purses and bank/credit cards in a safe place, both when you are out and about and in the home. Don't leave any valuables in sight or reach of a door or window, for instance. It has been known for people to fish through letterboxes with a length of wire and lift car keys that have been left on hall tables; please remember to pass on this advise to any visitors you have over the Christmas period. Always shield your pin numbers when using credit or debit cards and at cash point machines – you never know who is looking over your shoulder. If you feel someone is too close for comfort, and they won't move back, cancel that transaction and try using another machine. Better to lose time than a fortune. Be careful who you let into your home. The old trick of bogus water, gas and electric officials and workmen is circulating again. If you get a call from any of these, no matter how official they look and sound, telephone the relevant gas, water or electricity board and ask if the callers are genuine. Don't be fooled by official looking uniforms and vehicles, they can be hired easily and these days, sadly, it is very easy to make fake ID cards. So take care; better to lose time on one of those incredibly irritating press-button answering systems than lose money and feelings of safety to bogus officials. To be on the safe side, always put the chain on the door before answering and if you have a doubt, call the police on 101. Christmas will soon be upon us again (hooray!) and father Christmas will be bringing some lucky people new bikes, I expect. Do keep them locked away carefully when not in use and covered up, if in sheds or garages, so that sneak thieves aren't tempted. Perhaps someone might buy a good lock for the bike as a stocking filler and manage to get the bike post coded at a good dealer before Father Christmas picks it up? Shopping online for last minute presents? Use sites which show a lock symbol for maximum safety and try to have the latest browser and anti virus software. Always log out from the web site after shopping. If you are going to Christmas parties, remember to leave lights on in your house when you go out, preferably using a plug which has a time switch, so that lights will go on and off, so that a potential thief won't know whether you are in or out. Have fun, but be aware that the police are extra vigilant about drink driving at this time of the year so if you want to drink a little more than usual, remember to book a taxi to take you home. Or invest in a pair of hiking boots to walk – won't they look a treat with your party dress?! The way the local police panel works will change in the New Year when it is hoped that our numbers will grow with new members, including those neighbourhood Watch members who did turn out for meetings this year. We are moving the time and will meet about 7pm instead of in the morning and the venue will change, as the Memorial Hall is used in the evenings for other bookings. We have been very grateful to Rev. Peter Ronald for so generously allowing us to use the Memorial Hall for our meetings and for the lovely tea, coffee and biscuits he and his team provided for us, and
