North East Independent School District 8961 TESORO DRIVE – SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS 78217
Brian G. Gottardy, Ed.D. Superintendent
February 13, 2017
Dear NEISD Parent/Guardian,
North East ISD and researchers at the Ray Marshall Center of the University of Texas at Austin
are working together to improve access to college and career information. As a result of this
partnership, the District has agreed to share a survey created by the Ray Marshall Center. The
purpose of the survey is to identify post-secondary aspirations of students, identify actions taken
to achieve these aspirations, and identify gaps that prevent students from achieving their post-
secondary aspirations.
Your student’s participation in the survey is voluntary. A preview of the survey is attached for
your convenience. If you consent to this survey, please ask your student to visit
https://tinyurl.com/RMCstudent2017 to access the survey and select the survey with a green bar.
The survey should take about 20 minutes to complete. It will be available until 5:00 p.m. on
February 28, 2017.
All student information will be kept confidential throughout the research process.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Dr. Brian Gottardy,
Superintendent of Schools
